Star Crash or the Mega Buster will work on Wily the 1st time you encounter him. The Mega Buster IS easier to use, but it does slightly less damage.

Yeah I agree the robot masters are pretty bland in MM5. Crystal Man is the most bland robot master ever. There is nothing special about him or his level.

MM5 is actually my favorite Mega Man game of the original series. True, the robot masters have really forgettable visual designs, but I like the music fine, it looks really good, the level design is creative (especially compared to the lackluster 4), there's no overlapping in the weapons and quite honestly, the actual boss fights are really nice since all of them have a unique style (whereas 4 only had one good boss fight really which was the room one). I don't even mind that it's easy.

Crystal Man is my favorite though. If I was one of those people that knew how, I'd recreate this game and make it "Mega Man 5 Redux: Crystal Man's Revenge" and it would have an alernate storyline, and all the levels would be more evil and hard.

As for liking Charge Man well I think he is bland but he chugs like a locomotive. I do agree though that the robot masters in this game are bland compared to the previous games.

yea. its a good game but the masters suck. the only noteable bosses are Napalmman and gravityman. I only note napalm because of his EXE version that kinda dosnt count.

but this one kinda had the best plot. the first time I really wasnt assuming wily was the bad guy.

Charge Man is kinda blah, but I actually like the music in his stage. I will agree that Gravity Man is the best of the bunch though, and I like his stage and music too. I also like Napalm Man.. but whatever.

As for my favorite MM games. I like the 3 the most.. followed by 2, 1, 4, 5, 6. Not saying 6 is bad, but it's just overly mediocre.. kinda like 5, but even more so.
