I have no idea...I think it depends on if she grew up in a mainly english- or afrikaanse-speaking household. Even tho most kids in SA grow up bilingual, usually there is a preference in the family -

eg I have almost no accent cuz my mum is the only hardcore afrikaaner in my house, but my cousin has a very strong one cuz her family speaks afrikaanse all the time.
