so i can by an atomic 112 powered cab and un my pod hd 500 into and it would sound better tahn running into a tech 21 power engine 60?does the atomic have to be the active or passive?
@EMGXX84 Yes, keep the poweramp sim on as the Atomic Amps are extremely neutral in sound. With regards to volume, it all depends how loud your band is. We've clocked them at over 90Db and that's certainly louder than I like to use them at (they still had more to go). Sounds also make a difference, if you have sounds that lack clarity, you will have problems hearing yourself at a reasonable level. The wedges are great also, because you can just point them at your head :-).
hey there awesome video...one day i will have the axe fx...but right now i have the pod hd500...could i run this straight into the powered atomic fr' cab?and if so could i run my effects pedal in stereo through two??without a power amp involved :)
@saitaro You don't need to take it out to use it with another cab, as it is designed to work that way. From that, I guess it would work if you took it out also.
A little tip on doing gear demo's, don't just do fast single note wankery! Play chords are familiar classic riffs so we can reference it. Take a look at Pete Thorns demos for suhr amps, that is the way a demo should be done. Seriously, you just can pick apart the tone when its all just high speed noodling.
@hardon11 We agree. We've just had a lot of requests for this style of playing, so we've given the people what they wanted. We'll be doing some demos of the sort that you're talking about very soon.
Just checked the site. I was actually expecting the price to be far less reasonable! =D The Axe-FX prices are better than when I bought my Ultra from FAS too (damn AUD!!).
I'll have to start putting some money away to fund an Atomic FR. =)
When we have our web page up, we'll have this patch and more available for download (we'll make an announcement in the Fractal forums when it's ready to go). Glad you liked it!
amazing!!!

@MetalSlab, Independent Music usually has them in stock. Shipping around Australia is not all that expensive.

For this kind of monitor (powered atomic monitor) do you suggest keeping the P.A (power amp simulator) ON?
and that's enought mighty for a band session with high volume?... i'm septic about that.

@IbanezDemon Yes, 2x Atomic Fr's will let you run your hd500 stereo without a poweramp as the Atomic's are self powered.

@IbanezDemon Yes and Yes!

Thanks for the demo.
Could you guys please tell me - is the power amp removable from an active atomic amp? Thanks.
saitaro 1 year ago
@saitaro, Yes it is removable for repair etc. Is that what you mean?
independentmusicacad 1 year ago
@independentmusicacad Not exactly. I meant can I take it out to use with another cab sometimes?

Hey just wondering if you guys know if the patches for the ultras work in the standard model?
Cheers,
Bix
Dragor306 1 year ago
@Dragor306, yes, as long as they don't:
a) Contain effects that aren't on the standard
b) Have more simultaneous effects that what the standard can handle.
Cheers,
Andrew

Is there any pricing set yet for the Atomic FRs in Australia?
WaywardYak 2 years ago
Yes! Google for Atomic FR Australia to find the Independent Music online shop with prices for Fractal and Atomic products.
