@snax20091 if the arrival of the Normans in Ireland is the origin of our problems, then surely 'the brits' are our brothers in arms against the occupying Europeans? @D3CKY09 it is within our constitution to change the system of government by referendum (article 46) - why aren't we doing this? Why has no one suggested a change from cronyism ?

Instead of working to change our social conditions, we changed the colour of our flag and blamed 'de Brits' for all our ills.
We fell for a fairytale version of Irish history and the result is the mess we're in now.
