  • yeah serious dariusfranke what happened , We have to blame ourselves , take shows like the fartashians , jersey jokes and all the idol shows and flush them all down the toilet because thats what they are and most people buy it .

  • This is soooooooo cool!

  • what is that material??

  • jajajaja!! 2:48

  • THE PERFEKT HALLOWEENMASK!

  • It's just so cool how they do that. They can't see it at all, what they are making. That takes a lot of practice.

  • To spicen it up, they could have used knives and made like the villain from "SCREAM". Of course, this clip predates "Scream" by, what, 20 years?

  • what kind of clay was that?

  • THIS IS EXCELLENT THANK YOU FOR THE LAUGHS

  • LMBO!!! They were funny when I was little and seeing it again after so many years is even funnier. Just hilarious! Thanks for the upload.

  • Isn't if funny when you finally realize how malevolent these clay-faced creatures must be? They clearly don't like each other, to say the least. "Your face is so pretty; I'm gonna tear it up!" XD

  • oh I thought this was Mummenschwantz. Totally different show.

  • okay I need to change my pants now

  • For some reason, this clip made me think of Michael Jackson.

  • How do you get a mask like that?! Omg I want one!

  • @BayumGirl123 use the power of mighty putty. XD

  • This scared the crap out of me when I was a child, and it scares the crap out of me as an adult. D:

  • @russofamerica tsk tsk. Don't look at how weird it is; just enjoy the story!

  • @GJNCA Actually, they're still around. You can go to their website and see they're still giving performances.

  • very unique

  • Reminds me of the Mysterious Stranger

  • this is why we do drugs now

  • Yeah, this skit would definitely have scared me as a kid.

  • Alguein sabe que material es el que ocupan??????

  • lol, this is awesome!

  • Mummenschanz son lo más original que he visto. Absolutamente creativos. Siempre algo nuevo, más los clásicos que uno desea volver a ver, conforman espectáculos absolutamente deliciosos.

  • This is amazing, altough it still reminds me to the face melt scene from Indiana Jones :P

    Omg that would be GROSS!!!

  • ish ja eifach NU hammer x) ich liebs...!

nd s geilste ish ja eeh dases SCHWIIZER sind ;P

  • ...hay un limite en que esto ya no es una opción...

  • that doesn't mean they're plagerists, only that someone thinks they are.

  • OMG!!! I have searching for these for years! vreude you are amazing for finding and posting these. This brings me back to my childhood sooo much. And how weird are these guys?!

  • Gives whole new meaning to the expression 'putting your face on.'

    Thanks for posting this! ^_^

  • Thanks so much for posting these, Vreude! This was one of my all time favorite episodes of the Muppet Show.

  • It's very Zen to watch people mould clay and such. It's one of the reasons I like Mummnschanz

  • I think I've been scarred for life. OMG, who the heel thought THAT up?

Not that it not excellent BTW.

  • I agree about dough...

  • Well, THAT'S original!

  • Too scary!

  • I totally forgot about this...LOVE IT!

  • VERRY FUNNY!

  • Remembered these from growing up, this one always stood out in my memory.

  • That poor cat on the left would be me.

    I remember this from childhood.

    So. Rad.

  • does anyone know what kind of clay they are using? it looks so plyable and stretchy yet stays in place very well ... and doesn't seem to dry very fast if it does at all. I would love to get some!

  • The clay might be a Putty of some kind. It could be this troupe had their own recipe for clay masks. Trade secret? Modeling clay is plyable when you kneed it. Might be rubber... Not sure.

    Still a very imaginative performance.

  • It's Plasticine. Never hardens, extremely pliable.

  • I think its dough, actually, because it has mroe of a memory than clay.

  • It's plasticine. You can tell by the texture and how it's holding it's shape.

  • Plasticine clay is way to heavy If that much were put on the human head it would be hard to lift your head. They are from Switzerland don't forget a lot of European clays never make it over here.

  • Very true. Definitely has to be a polymer base clay to be flexible but keep it's shape like that though.

  • igualito a la tele de aca de chile...hahahahaha

  • li ho visti dal vivo il 28 dicembre.spettacolare davvero!complimenti!e grazie alla mia simo che mi ha regalato i biglietti...

  • I remember this piece from TV when I was a child. Incredible! Last night I saw it live in their show in Stuttgart... Fantastic! The silent art still has something to say. My personal recommendation: spanish mime actor Carlos Martinez. Greetings from Germany, JENNY PS. Thanks for posting this videoclips!

  • That is simultaneously the most awesome and most terrifying thing I have ever seen. These were so amazing. I remember them so well; LOVED them as a kid!

  • When I was little this scared me, but now I see it as VERY artistic and I LOVE it!

  • alot of television from 20-30 years ago was very creative and expressed alot of new ideas and artisitic themes.. but that sort of thing is good for children and teaches them something so you can forget about that now

  • Remember when someone had to be creative and talented to get on TV? I grew up watching TV in the mid 70's and there was so much going on back then in terms of new ideas and talent. Now look at the tripe we have - "reality television". Thank goodness for YouTube!

  • @DariusFranke I agree with you totally on this point. I grew up in the 70s too and there was so many new things going on! And "tripe" is a great word to drescribe what we have now!

  • hey Leave this episode alone

  • obviously you're an imbecile.

  • Uaaaaaa!!! COOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! I love it!!!

  • Yeah it was totally surreal when I saw this a long time ago. On some level it also really intrigued me to.

  • I remember seeing this show as a kid and thinking it was bizarre and fascinating.

  • I like the Mummenschanz on this show. They were helarious and original.
