This made me cry first time i heard it, mainly because i was givem so much modern crap to listen to, i had forgoten how emotional good music could actually be, nothing like this modern glorified karaoke that has been forced upon us. Maybe like nouveau cuisine it'll all dissappear as time goes on :) Until then, we can look to the past and realise what we're missing! :D

ELO seems to be most known for their catchy and optimistic songs like Mr. Blue Sky and Hold on Tight. Both excellent songs, no doubt about that! The band has done so much more though! Its a shame what few people know this one. The lyrics are simply amazing and beautiful. It has such a somber feel to it. Time is easily my favorite ELO album, just perfect.

I had this album when it came out. I think I was 13. I remember that line "remember the good old 1980s". The album was 1981 and I remember thinking huh?? We haven't even lived the 80's yet. Now its 2009 and I just think wow! Fantastic song... especially with a black light (back in the day) :P

Great Song. Lame video accompaniment. It seems like 99% of home-made music videos on YouTube are just rote slide shows showing a literal, obligatory image for each phrase sung in the song. Not really a dig at you, just a lament at the general unoriginality on YouTube. I guess thats why good videos are so rare.
