@usmc26nick Typically we in the Army do whatever suits the mission best. A lot of this depends on the unit. My unit generally accepted the LCE/LBV, the RACK, various Blackhawk and Eagle Industries vests, the FLC, and IFLC. Whatever was more comfortable to the soldier. Of course the Sergeant Major and Commander will provide random "on the spot" guidance saying "we're not fucking Special Forces" or "this ain't world war 3". I'd say most Army guys prefer to mount the stuff to the vest.

You will never see a marine in marpat at mcdonalds because it is considered a service uniform and hence should only be worn while on duty or on base. No one should really care what you wear, its a free country.

Hey, you guys know the rubber bullets the military sometimes use for training? Well, what if someone turned that into a sport. In my own opinion, I think it would be a little bit better than airsoft and paintball because you don't have to worry about cheater because you'll hear a yelling when you hit someone and you don't have to get you gear painted by colorful ammunition.

First, they are called simunition rounds. Second, they are strictly reserved for Law Enforcement and Military use only. Third, they are designed for real guns . The simunition round that is used by the USMC actually does have a water-soluble colored marking compound, very similar to a paintball. The USMC uses these at a velocity of 650 FPS. It would be very dangerous for an untrained person to use these.

I'm 14 and an avid airsofter and I used to wear a USMC patch with the eagle, globe, and anchor. My buddies father was a US Marine, and when he was airsofting with us, he reluctantly tore the patch from my rig. I took no offense, but grew to respect him more and the men and women who are willing to stride through the worst possible conflict on this planet; warfare.
