  • I don't know what I like more, the SS dash or the "Sport's Package" dash I have with my LT. Check out my vid if you want to see it.

  • LSJ > LNF :)

  • @Jsavageallout lol yeah for now.... the lnf can hit almost 600hp on tock injecters.... once someone gets the injecter problem fixed the lnf's will put the lsj numbers to shame for half the cost lol.... maybe not half but yeah for now the lsj's hold the crown. for now!

  • There is a reflash you can buy from GM for only like $700 and it gives the car 300hp and over 300ft/lbs

  • @gotmatt2

Crank HP and TQ.... And all it does is raise the peaks to claim higher HP, the top end still fails on the GMS1 tune.

A custom tune from me is $200 BTW ;) LOL... If you have money to waste, please email me or something. Ill take it :)

  • Yep, send more and keep my warranty.

  • @gotmatt2

I have my warranty still... You are very misinformed like most people out there. I ran my car at 30psi for 10k miles and still brought it in for warranty service, nothing was denied. Paying too much for a lil bump in HP, $700. Paying for a good tune, $200. Going to a tuner that knows what he's doing, priceless ;) LOL

  • What did you have serviced? I am certain if you blew your engine you would be screwed. Just because they serviced something unrelated and didn't look into the modification is one thing. I think you are misinformed, If your program overwrites the factory and something related breaks, they will not cover it. Do you have a plug in piggy-back system? You also only void the coinciding portion, not the entire warranty.

  • @gotmatt2

Quite a few things and they did check the ECU information because they know that I build/tune cars. I told them this was my DD, brought it in 100% stock and had flashed it correctly back to stock. They verified it was untouched. Many other members on the HP Forums, many being GM Techs, have also tested this and verified it can be done if flashed correctly. Ive done my homework on this subject, for this particular car tho lol. Not sure it applies to the whole world but def GM cars

  • I see, so you flashed it as a mod, then flashed it back to have serviced, right? Got it, makes sense I suppose.

  • @BackyardTurbo LOLLLLL when did you start flooring it....damn that shit is slowwww as baaallllsss

  • @gotmatt2 Where is your proof? Dyno sheets?

  • Call a chevy dealer. It's sold through them as an option.

  • @gotmatt2 When youve built as many motors as I have you tend to trust what you see, ie, dyno sheets. Id dyno it, you might be suprised.

  • it looks like the video begins to distort as it reaches the speed for time travel lol.

  • is the chrome around your gauges on the bottom bubbled ..my g5 is it looks like yours is to...anyone else notice the chrome bubbling on their g5 and cobalt's? ive already made them replace my door handles hahaha

  • Not too shabby. I don't know if the sti's and evos count as front wheel drive.....maybe.

  • @mstreamer9991

No def not, Im just saying this 22k FWD car is beating 30K AWD "super imports".

  • @BackyardTurbo there is no way this cobalt could beat a WRX

  • @zacheryds

One of these stock could easily take a stg2 WRX. I beat a stg2 SRT4 from a 60 roll and the SRT's are def faster from a roll. I own a WRX also ;)

This car in the vid ran a 12.68 @ 116 and my buddy with the same tune and slicks ran 11.95 at 118. You will not see a WRX without a turbo swap trapping as high as these cars can on the stock turbo

  • @zacheryds hahaha well you dont know much about cars then my friend

  • @atcomx26 i know enough to know that a WRX would wreck a cobalt. are you kidding me.

  • @zacheryds i can send you two videos of my stock cobalt ss/sc vs. my buddies stock wrx and his buddies wrx with an intake, exhaust, bov. I get roasted from a dig till about 40mph then i catch up but from a 40 roll i pulled 3 car lengths on my buddies stock wrx and a car and a half on his friend modded wrx. They are only good from a dig.

  • @zacheryds plus a 2.8 pulley, 60# injector, exhaust and tuned cobalt ss pulled 2 car lengths on an sti. Do you know anything about cobalts? a bolt on 2010 wrx put down 255 to the wheels... a stock cobalt ss turbo puts down around 240 to the wheels and is lighter. Plus just a tune on a cobalt ss tc can put it in the 300whp range. I like wrx's a lot of friends have them but your trying to state that cobalts are slow and they are not at all

  • @zacheryds ok ok you say you know that it would smash well here are some real numbers for ya

    2009 ss/tc cobalt:Standing ¼-mile: 14.2 sec @ 102 mph

    2010 sti:Standing 1/4-mile: 13.5 sec @ 102 mph

so as you can se in a standing 1/4mile the balt is at a slower time(only because of the time it looses off the line). Look at the speeds though. they match so that is saying that once they are moving the sti will not have a chance. wrx's only have balts from a dig. and if it is tuned good luck wrx's

  • @yeahitsturbod1 hey the wrx wins though right? thats all that counts. you want a car with good acceleration. not a car the spins it tires.

  • @yeahitsturbod1 Your numbers are incorrect... 13.7@104 for Ss\TC and 13.9 @ 100 for the STI... Also from 0-130 the balt did it in 26.3 sec....,. the STi: 29.4 sec.... That's equal to a 10 car lead for the SS\TC... I ran my buddy in his 2010 STi, we were even till about 50 due to no traction on SS\TC, after that the STi faded... We then traded cars and drove eachothers car... same out come....The newer sti's and evo's are slower & (heavier) than their older counterparts from 2008 and back....

  • Yeah I know I've been beat by one. 13.6 to my 14.2. How's it handle at that speed?

  • @mstreamer9991

I havent tried taking a turn at 160+ lol. Im not sure if it still stands but the SS Turbo was the fastest production FWD car to lap the Nurburgring and I believe it was faster then a STI or EVO as well!

My fastest 1/4 to date is a 12.68 and highest trap ever was a 115.4. I have just a couple parts and a tune on the car, the best 1/4 was with Drag Radials on the car.

  • 110 mph+, that's where my 350z will murder your cobalt.

  • @mstreamer9991

Yeeeaaaa, no. Ill gladly let you try but I already know what will happen. The car makes 330whp now.

  • @BackyardTurbo Well that's a different story then with mods, but will it ever hit 160? It's a cobalt I highly doubt it could.

  • @mstreamer9991

Ive hit 168 on a closed road of course lol.. And it had room to go. Dont sleep on the Cobalts, you will get beat by one and be wondering what the hell just happened. The latest Cobalt's are no joke. Tune alone puts these cars around 300whp!

  • @mstreamer9991 Yeah i was thinking the same thing about my mustang honestly. It's acceleration took a dramatic turn right there. But I'll give credit where its due, they are quick cars

  • its got to 120 at a good pace.

  • This is not fast bro

  • @Desbiens94

Its a bone stock car here lol.

Ran 12.68 at 109 in it last weekend, still slow?

  • @BackyardTurbo damn liar! You didnt run mid 12 in a stock cobalt

  • @ryans523 You're right, I didn't. The car is modded and tuned now lol.. This video is over a year old, try looking at some updated ones. Maybe even the vid I have posted of my car running a mid 12 would help you ;) Reading > You

  • @BackyardTurbo oh haha okay, what have you done to it? bone stock it runs like high 13's right?

  • @ryans523 Yea, stock was high 13's at 103-104

Now it has a Catless DP, Hahn CAI, Injen Charge Pipe and a custom Trifecta/HP Tune by myself. Car put down 328/384 at 22psi.

  • @Desbiens94 I agree! stop granny driving and actually use some fucking gas u fag!

  • So how long should the break-in period be to be completely safe?

My 2010 SS/TC is due in 4 weeks (according to the dealer)

Either way, I'll have to drive er nice and easy cuz winter's coming and I'm used to driving 4x4 97 blazer lol so i'm not gonna try anything stupid til about May or so lol

  • i was told by some certified mechanics that you should break in the car as its going to be driven

  • I have a bunch of it tuned. Just finished up a 25+psi tune, Ill have to take a new vid :)

  • HOLY FUCK i forgot how slow my balt used to be lol thanks for the vid :) hoping to see more vids :)

  • i florred mine with 2 miles on it and raced it by the 3rd day i owned it and put 1000 miles on it in a week, 16,000+ on the 2.2 5 speed running strong, its a chevy

  • Congrats...This isn't a 2.2 tho and Ive owned quite a few new cars and beat on them too soon, guess where they are now ;)

  • IDK, my car didn't pull hard at all when it was new. After a few miles and I got on it, it was totally different. Beat on yours if you want tho..

  • should do 500 at least!

  • Absolutely got the LSD :D

3000miles is a lil crazy honestly. 500-1000 should be more then plenty :)

  • yea as a cobalt owner i am kind of obligated to know about its features and modes, alot of bells and whistles come with the new cobalt ss/tc,im almost at 500,ppl tell me not to rev the piss out of it till 3000k but they have to realize its a sports car and that the parts would hold up better then a regular car,you got limited slip on yours?

  • Close to 500. The car felt a lil in and out of power until that point so I really didn't push it.

Not to insult you, but you know about competitive mode right?

  • Hey im breakin in my turbalt also, although i did gun it once or twice already, how many miles did you put on before flooring it?
