Most Western tourists fear everything that moves, and would react in terror if confronted by a big cat. The Masai, on the other hand, have learned to channel their natural fear into aggression. Besides, fear is a base survival mechanism for most creatures - big cats included.

Both are correct-if you accept the change in spelling made by Non Kenians! It was always spelt Masai- however- several authors and movie producers started changing the spelling and lead to the double spelling- tamatoe/ tamatoe/... etc. just use a simple search engine Ha ha, and search for the book "Masai of Africa" by Lisa McQuail-an American who actually spent a lot of time in Kenia rearching the history of the Masai tribe in depth- not just another movie producer. Buy it- you may enjoy.
