  • didnt bloods get added to the list? aka u cant transport between states?

  • @CynicalNuggit no :)

ITs burms, Northern and southern Afrock pythons, and some species of anaconda I dont remember :/

  • wat are the size of the tubs you have them in, where do you purchase them

  • you sound pretty bias against the balls. you forgot to hit on the bazillion morphs you can get from ball pythons. thumbs up on the vid though.

  • Great video! Just what I was looking for. I'm planning to get a snake and now I have your first hand experience to help me choose between the two. Thanks.

  • how many pythons do you have?

  • hands down the ball python is a better pet.the blood python is a very defensive and aggressive snake. i have had both and make this comment off experience.

  • Could anybody tell me how to spell his website

  • @TheAgent3000 H I S W E B S I T E. hope this helps

  • I'm looking for a blood python or a pinstrip ball python. Do you have any?

  • great videos, some stunning snakes, id have to say i prefer bloods (only because my choice doesnt include reitcs)

  • Great vid I prefer bloods way more especially since they look like pythons on steroids

  • Couldn't agree more. Great video. I have 3 ball pythons and 1 blood. I want to breed the blood with my male pastel ball. What do you think?

  • Where do you get your blood pythons?

  • make a superball python

  • This is interesting. Why do they call them blood pythons? Because of the reddish color?

I have seen quite a variety of Ball Pythons. Some seem to be like pet rocks but I've also seen some that are quite active and curious about their surroundings.

The videos about Amazon Tree Boas I've seen pretty consistantly show those as interesting and adventuresome snakes and most seem quite tame.

  • Excellent presentation and video and a great topic !!!! Great information also for people that aren't sure about either.

  • If I had to choose between thos two I'd go with the bloods.

  • what I was meaning to say was do you have any plans on breeding the 2 together? Can you imagine a pied one

  • @jeffxl12 No, i dont have any plans, all my balls and bloods are already paired with memebers of the same species, and I dont have any extras I would be willing to risk slugging out and wasting a female. Producing hybrids is HARD. thats why its hardly ever done.

  • I actually like snakes like carpet python and some colubrids more.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate balls and bloods or anything, but for some reason, I haven't really thought about keeping a ball or a blood.

I also noticed they're both pretty heavy looking animals in general. Anyway, they're both really beautiful!

  • @jxz107 I was asked to do this video, comparing carpets to balls is another story all togeether.

  • @HiImSteveDuh I guess so... anyway, really nice vid. :) Will you ever do another "comparison" video?

  • Awesome video, lots of info. Cheers! :D

  • very nice blood

  • I agree 100% bloods are just much more interesting. Their "screw you" attitude sometimes makes you really appreciate and respect them a lot more than most snakes. Great video man, keep them up.

  • was that first one a t poz? and offspring from that one?

  • @knglee3rd Yep, both were t-pos

  • I love all types of snakes Ball pythons my favorite but I think it depends on the person for what makes a better snake for them. But no matter what I love them all.

  • what about a ball/blood breed

  • @jeffxl12 ball/blood hybrids do exist i've seen brian from snakebytestv show them but i can't remember what they're called

  • @stephen4715 there called superballs

  • @jeffxl12 Its a hybrid. Often called a Superball.

  • @mutantflamerobotics super ball is a differnt species of blood, i believe either borneo or black STP.

  • I love my balls.

  • Can u get bacc at me about the blood

  • @SnakeBoss53 Ive been having problems with my website, email me directly. steventillis@mindspring[dot]com

  • My ball python is very active, and not shy at all.

  • how do you personally like carpet pythons?

  • @89Ginko I have like 20 or so, so i like them

  • Hey Steve,

I really want a blood python and think I'm ready. I have worked with carpets, boa constrictors, and ball pythons and was wondering what you thought.

    Thanks, Miles

  • @milezcarpetpython I would get one. I started off with bloods and won't switch to balls.

  • @milezcarpetpython Yea, bloods are probably on the same level of difficulty as carpets or boas

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • heres blood python hiss, pets its chin

  • At 4:50 he says that they have an intense bite. This is an UNDERSTATEMENT someone showed me their bruise that they had recieved from just a 4ft blood, it tagged him on his upper chest, the bruise just from the blow almost covered his chest!

    Great vid BTW

  • @DesignerSerpents It didnt happen to be Bill Albright did it? He told me about getting bit in the chest by a blood.

  • @HiImSteveDuh

Maybe, I didnt get his name; but it was at a reptile expo in Arlington TX, dunno if that would make a difference. But his name does sound familiar.

  • Blood all the way.

  • Also, god dang that blood didn't even flinch when you touched its face. Shows ya how well you treat your animals :)

  • @debbi3d All my bloods are absolute sweethearts!

  • Great vid as always mate. I'm a huge fan of the blood pythons just because of the awesome awesome color. :)

  • great vid. what do you think about hybird "blood ball"? like owning one and

  • @reptileswagger Not a big fan. They look cool, but having seen the 75/25 ball blood, as well as 75/25 ball angolan, both look identical to normal balls, and that scares me. So I wouldnt own one or breed them most likely except as an experiment.

  • balls are picky eaters sometimes and in my opinion they are kinda boring since they are inactive my favorite snakes are carpet pythons!

  • @leopardgeckos42 I even forgot to hit on the fact that balls are bad eaters.

  • good video man, i agree with everything except for the feeding. me personally my ball pythons were so picky and never wanted to eat. i dont breed them but theyre amazing pets, i love my big guy

  • @rodriguez491 Youre right, I completly forgot to hit on feeding balls.

  • Yeh I agree I had a pair of bloods back in the day and there so much fun to work with but ur rite about the Ri they then to get it fairly easy

  • @LACREPTILES Yea they do. If the room drops below 70-75 they seem to get them pretty quick.

  • i would luv to blood ball if ur comfortable with producing them

  • Dumb Guy: I was so happy with my wild import blood python then i took an arrow to the knee
