Where is Port Gamble? When did the real battle take place and who took the field? I noticed a black Confederate soldier helping man one of the guns, am I mistaken? Louisiana had one of the first all-black volunteer units, the Corps d' Afrique, composed of some of the 200,000 free blacks in Louisiana in 1861, according to the LSU history department. Thank you for composing this video. I'm a damn Yankee living in Louisiana!
Thanks for watching! I did not attend the Ferndale event, hence, no video. The Port Gamble video was a combination of the four battles. I was going to have the Confederates win, but the women crying at the end was priceless. I was in four different positions for the four battles, and then edited to make one battle with four perspectives.
Wonderful work to all the reenactors. Watching this video is comparable to watching a documentary on the History Channel. I can't wait to see the Hovander Park reenactment in Ferndale, WA.
anyone got a link on where to get info on joining? I live in Seattle and have ALWAYS wanted to but never looked into it.

@Moline4Star There was no Battle of Port Gamble, Its a Fort in Washington State. Just a annual reenactment civil war style battle I assume.

Port Gamble hosts 4 field battles. The Confederates win -- and so does the Union. They take turns.
