@Awesomenizzleness Its my former friend Choson Ninja, but his account was deleted because of ignorant, athiestic flamers who not only were completely jealous of his success and christian attitude, but they created hate clans and even hate blogs for his channel, and him as a person. He was posting self-defense vids online, so ppl wouldnt have to pay, but some ppl in this world want everything to cost, and nothing to be free...
Not that I want to detract from your awesome lock there, but the final position a) isn't an arm bar it's hyperextending the shoulder and b) is working because he is failing to let go of your gi. If he does the technique will become a lot less effective, as you lose a lot of your leverage. The hand grabbing the gi is being used as the pivot around which the elbow is being turned, and through that the shoulder is rotated. Remove the hand and you lose that lever. Simple physics.
@DizzyXIOmega In brazilian jiu-jitsu this would be called an americana lock ( a.k.a. keylock) If it was in the other direction with the fist pointing downward it would be called a kimora lock. ( I personally believe this is an effective technique thank you Chosun Ninja!!!... and Korean Shinobi.)
@DizzyXIOmega An armlock in grappling is a single or double joint lock that hyperextends, hyperflexes or hyperrotates the elbow joint and/or shoulder joint. Also you would practice this technique to do it very quickly and effectively and grab his hand before he lets go of you...
I have noticed comments by others in regards to these techniques and how they won't work due to the opponent won't just sit there and let you do the locks. The above video as the majority of all lessons are to teach the aspects of the technique and done slow for the student. You must remember once the move is inbeded into your mind and body and the speed is performed in a split second. Then the real essence comes through! By all means question, but really experiment and test for quality first.
wow! that is really a powerful grapple, its a must have technique for any ones safety! Thanks again. i seriously dont know how you keep expanding your knowledge so vastly
practice makes perfect ;D i know how you feel, but keep practice it, sooner or later it will just come to you if u ever need to do it, like a reflex. :)
amazing, i will certianly practice this. and post a video of it! :). thanks so much, you continue to educate the entire public on self-defense we are are most greatful!
I have never seen this armbar before, and I must say it looks great! I also like that go step to the side before going to the armbar. I imagine this would work against much larger opponents as well.
i loved the way you trapped his arm...
