I find that every time I take a free kick from 18-30 yrds I put it just under 1/2 power and it goes over. Then i put it just over 1/4 and i hits the wall. Im using Steven Gerrard. Its really hard to get correct timing i think. Also whats ur longest scored free kick. Mines indirect 55-70 yrds.

Don't use LB or LT...all you have to do is shoot with the curve, and it should go in if it is well done.

The reason Up + Diagonal direction is better, is because Up makes it curl downwards which makes it easier to hit the goal. Ultimately, you'll need a guy with good curling-ability's :P

when i take free kicks from the right side of goal i hold straight left, but you can hit them either way. free kicks from the right side are pretty easy, from the left side i normally hold straight up and aim just a little to the right of the left upright. The ball clears the wall easily and then dives down (curves a little to the left).

Dude. You are absolutely wrong. On ps3 u can only play the game at a maximum level of 720p for only HD ready TV whereas on Xbox u can play it on 1080p the Full HD resolution. Maybe u compared the graphics while playing on the same resolution for both of the games and you saw something better on the ps3 version.

look lets make it simple if the player has like between 88* or 92* curve technique and if u hit it straight at goal the goalie will catch cause of the curve, what u guys wanna do players like, van persie, beckham, juninio, gerrard, c.ronaldo, ronaldhinio etc u wanna take it right away from the goal so basically u dont face the keeper. When u hit it away from goal turn ur stick left or right what ever foot position the player has and this goes for the 360 and the ps3.. hope this helps

I think you need a left footed player to try it from the left post , instead what I do is curl from right to left on the left post just like I do on the right post.
