  • HELLO SirBasil, MAN OH MAN, COULD "THIS GUY"SING! THANKS FOR THE TREAT,TOM D.

  • @doowopman49 Sure could. One of my first postings.

  • Dee was the best unknown voice in the 50s early 60s, great range great style

  • Drums In My Heart, is a really good tune too!

  • HAVN`T HEARD THIS 0NE IN A LONG TIME. MY THANKS TO Sir Basilthebrush.

  • @montecarlo0 Sir Basil thanks you!

  • Great Song, one of my favorites and Raindrops...

  • Delectus Clark recorded this in December 1958 and it was the first of 3 million sellers. My favorite being "Raindrops" in May of 1961. Dee's back-up band on most of his records and personal apperances was "The Upstetters" that were formerly Little Richards band until he temporarily retired and then later returned. Dee had a great sound but his career only lasted into the mid 60's.

  • This is my all time fave by Dee..the music..the voice. the backgrown singers..sound haunting..almost spooky..god i remember this song ..scary sciene fiction movies in black and white was on the tv. what a spooky combination..listen to the back up singers..reminds me of images from a Dracula movie with his vampire wives singing back..yet its all Love..anyway Thanx for bringing back Memories of the 60s..and dee was a big part of it. as another post said. it was more to dee than just Raindrops!

  • This is my favourite Dee Clark song, and one of my all-time favourite songs. Those long winding woo-ooh's from the backing females are just perfect.

  • Now THIS takes me back. to my child hood days ..my moms was young and pretty..i was a lil boy playing with toys on a fire excape in a brooklyn tennement ..my play den back in 1960-65 ..my mom young and pretty..shes passed 08, but during the time of this song she was young and strong n stepped out dressed to party..lol. this music is the soundtrack of our lives...we all were alive and well then..even dee RIP Dee and Moms.this record is dedicated to you and Dee.

  • Sounds like this song brought it all back for you. I think we all think back to our early years when our parents were young, strong, and with all our future ahead of them.

Sorry to say, I only discovered this gem a few years ago.

  • One of Dee Clark's best. It wasn't a big seller but it was a great song. Most folks don't realize how many hits he really had before "Raindrops". Many.

  • My favourite from Dee Clark.

  • Thanks K. For re-posting I like the fade-out!

  • very good

  • Great piece of music. Thank you for opening my ears for this guy. Didn't know much about him.

  • Thanks, I love this song. One of the first I posted - I seem to have confused the system by deleting my old posting for this new one...
