Well though I'm glad this song was cut out, it gives us some insight on why Morgana really wants this. Sure we all knew she didn't like being second best to Ursula but some of us with siblings or family know what that's like. You want to prove yourself worthy of their love and praise where others have failed. It gives us more of Morgana's character and motives.

I always wondered what Ursula's and Morgana's mother looked like from watching TLM 2 and this scene has answered my question. The only reason I see for keeping this song and scene in the sequel was to know more about Ursula's family...and Morgana too. This isn't the first movie where a villain's drive for doing evil was to get attention and praise from a parent. Prince John (Robin Hood), Scar (Lion King), Nuka (Lion King 2-tho he wasn't the main villain) are examples. Am I missing anyone else?

It didn't have the right kind of intensity for a villain song. As the Nostalgia Critic notes in his "Top Villain Songs" review, a good villain song should get more and more intense as it progresses ("Poor Unfortunate Souls" is a perfect example), and this song didn't do that.

Seeing the family was kind of cool, though.
