@XxxILLUSI0NxxX ich spiel auf nem alesis dm10 für 850€ spielt sich genauso wie ein roland klingt genauso und es fehlen ebenfals leider die "fehler" eines akustischen drumsets
Hey i was wondering how u recorded the sound it sounds really good and i hav a td 9 but i dont really know how to record properly so if u could reply that would be awesome. :)
hi, great cover, i have a question, how do you record the audio and video and sync it up together? im mostly interested in how you record the audio and how you are able to take the audio and put it in a computer, i also have a td9 electronic drum kit and i would like to post a cover or two so please reply or send me a message. it would be deeply appreciated.
a year and a half, and self-thought? Impressive... very impressive.
As for some advice.. well, you might try working on doubles and ghost notes more, but they aren't really used that much playing this genre of music, so.... dunno, just keep up the good work ;-)
Hey man i love the username, personally I have an srt-8 as well. But i tricked it out other than stock, it's a Stage 3 Black Charger SRT-8 with stage 2 Supercharger and stage 5 Edge chip, Stage 3 Inter-cooler with White Racing Stripes, a Caymen GT Rear spoiler. You an SRT owner? Respond back and also Very nice Drum Cover.

Holy Crap man. I hope to be able to play half as good as you do one day. I've always wanted to. I bought rockband 2 with the ION drum kit. I have a CNC router machine and am a programmer, so I made myself a 12" edrum. Works good. I need to tweek it a bit. But it's cool. I have it, two pd-6' and a pd-9 on it right now. I'll be getting the OSD brain. Nice unit. Also have the alesis surge cymbals. Cool. Anyway, you really rock!!!! No joke...
Simply put the wav on your usb key (at the bottom, in no folder), and after that, put it in, go to "song", and then roll over the 50th includ song, it will load your wav ;)
Check my vid if you want, i paly on music with my td9
With the vh-11 hi hat can you play it with the hi-hat half way open and get that kind of sound with the TD-9? Also, what made you get the KD-120 and not the KD-85? Thanks.
hey one tip from me to you would be... KEEP YOU FINGERS ON THE STICKS! are you having tea and crumpits or are you drumming cause i cant tell... i have been in drumcorp for three years and every time our pinky came off the stick they would duck tape you hands on the sticks after you do 75 push ups... so i have learned to keep my hands on the sticks...
What rack do you use? I want to buy the Roland TD-9k with the pad PD-125 for snare but i dont know if the MDS-9 rack is suitable for 12inches pad. Generally do you have any problem with the kit?
I do use the MDS-9. The 12" snare fits perfectly on it. The top rack might be a little tight if you want to use 12" toms though. The CY-8 has given me problems with false and miss hits...i would recommend the CY-14C and the CY-15R.
No, it's not. I bought the parts i wanted and pieced the kit together myself. The snare, hi-hat, bass and ride i have are not offered with the full TD-9SX kit.
I've been thinking about replacing the useless hihat pedal that came with my TD-6KX kit. There's no feel at all with that one. It's making ghost sounds all on its own now too.
its really nice men! but i have to agree with the dude that says you are just copying the rockband version... however its really nice but you "freestyle" a little more..
your drumming skill is impressive for one year and a half but you're not really following the feel of the song, and just copying the notation from rock band, whereas the song is played much differently in real life. For example, during the verses when he adds another hi-hat stroke the snare comes in, Rob opens the hi-hat, and there are other things that Rob does, like removing the snare between 3rd beats in the chorus.
Very well played! Hope to get that level some day (self-teaching too, but find it hard to concentrate on learning a song :s). I was wondering, is the noise a kd120 makes, a lot less then the noise a kd-8 makes? I mean the contact-noise of the beater hitting the pad. I live in an appartment, and my neighbours can clearly hear the bassdrum-sounds, the other pads don't seem to bother them...
I have a KD-85, which is practically the same as the kD-120 (just smaller) -- I can say that it's not going to make any difference to your neighbors. Unless your kick trigger is a pillow (and probably then still) it's going to send vibrations to the floor, which is mostly what they hear. The only thing you can do is create try to create a platform which dampens the vibrations.
Thx for your reply. I will go and try to find a solution to get the vibrations down as much as possible. For now, my neighbours accept me playing, as long as i don't play too late in the evening... Great to have understanding neighbours :d
It's the first and only double i've had, so i can't really compare it to anything. I like it though, it's built pretty solid. My only complaint is that the carpet spikes on the second pedal aren't long enough, so it will walk forward throughout a song.
Ignore the negative comments about electronic kits.
I'm going to buy a TD-9SX in the coming weeks myself. It's an excellent kit for exercising at home. Of course also need to play an acoustic kit from time to time, but it's good enough to get the chops right :)
Pretty good for being self-taught dude. I agree with the comment that you do too much arm movement. I want to add that you should stretch your (lower) back and shoulders as well (maybe get a chair with back support)

SicSRT4 2 years ago
@SicSRT4 the false and miss hits are probably because of crosstalk. It might need a little gain adjusting.
