Hey Steve! So glad to see you woodshedding this project again. Beautiful footage and a vital resource about to disappear forever -- make it great. 7 weeks in 1967 from Mistassinni to the bay. I'll never forget it. -- Alex MacDonald from Keewaydin.
Just beginning work on the film again, now. I've been working hard installing solar panels here in Colorado and haven't had time but I always planned to finish it eventually. I will give the Cree people and their story plenty of space in the film. One More River is also a great documentary and I will continue the story where Neil Diamond left off with his film. Does anyone have recent footage of the dams to contribute?
It wasn't the Cree population that sold the river, it was delt in secret negociations. Every Cree was surprised when the deal was made public. Look for the documentary called "One More River"
I used see that river 8 times a year. Traveling from the "Bas-St-Laurent" to laforge 1 up north ! That river it totally insane at -50°c. Everything goes white around it. I miss it !
