I just had a gastric bypass in december and ive lost over 40 lbs already. I am soooo happy that I decided to do the surgery, but I can totally relate to her...i mean i use to eat when stressed, depressed, or whatever, and now i can't do that...so i can't smoke, drink, or eat when i'm stressed out now...so its kinda hard and still working on what to do in those moments of weakness. I'm too afraid to smoke or drink cause i don't want ulcers to develop in my stomach. soooo...i can relate kinda.
People need to realise that losing weight to the extent that that women did at the age of 38 is not good. She looks a lot older than 38 in this clip. Having a nice round face irons out the wrinkles. Wise words to live by.
My dad was an alcoholic and he has amazing will power, and he was getting really serious with all the drinking and he knew he needed to stop and he did, it didn't take him long and now he doesn't drink at all , so you can do it.
MY aunt, his sister also was an alcoholic and she also stopped now she only has to drink a glass of wine a night instead of binging.

It was nice of her to share her story to us, even though viewers can be very judgmental. Addiction is a very destructive thing to the point where it can tear families and friendships apart. The addiction can cause one to be very selfish to the point to where they put others in danger, like she mentioned her driving drunk with her children. I'm glad that she is opened about it and continuing her sobriety even though she may or may not face pitfalls.
This happened to my daughter. She died a year and a half later. She was an emotional eater and after the bypass, she turned to tranquilizers. She went to sleep one night and never woke up. Good luck with your treatment and your 12-step program. You seem to be a wonderful person to me. Please accept that you are and learn to love yourself, because if you don't, the consequences could be terrible for you and your family.

Hi :) It's Michelle from the video :) She's not famous, as in you'd know her...she's a stuntwoman for many of the top actresses today. Just got done filing Pirates of the Carribean 4 with Johnny Depp...so she's talents, popular, rich, and has a great body :) Lots to feel like I had to compete with growing up...that's all :) I can say I'm really proud of her today, with the help of working on myself in the healing process...but I used to be really jealous !

@kelliec01 Why do I have to "earn an opinion" by working a job?I am respectful and intelligent, &there are plenty of adults who are more judgemental ignorant then me.I also dont appreciate you associating all young people with immaturity,because there are plenty of teens who are mature and adults who are not. alcoholism is not unfamiliar to minors, as over 80% of alcoholics start as a teen.I have a life with serious issues too,my best friend and my uncle drink,so this video meant a lot to me...

@RBkidd510 my comment was directed to the 97% of children who are NOT respectful. If they have such opinions about things they know nothing about then maybe they should research the subject (obviously they have access to the internet and know how to use it) and come up with valid opinion before stating ludicrous things on the internet and getting on peoples nerves (especially mine). Thanks for letting me know that I should have at least a little faith in youth, I'll try to be more open minded

If children/teens are as mature as you would like to believe then they wouldn't have such childish opinions (I quoted the inappropriate things that they said) I'm sure most of you didn't see my most recent reply to someone who disputed me but I said that there are a few young people that are mature and they aren't the ones I was referring to. Glozell you're friend's really mature! I like her, and my older brother was an alchoholic and we finally got him to go to detox and we spent Christmas day in detox visiting him, now he's in a rehabilitation centre and he should be home in a few weeks, and thanks to your video, i'm thinking positively about what he's going to be like when he comes back. thanks ! :)

Hi :) It's Michelle from the video :) She's not famous, as in you'd know her...she's a stuntwoman for many of the top actresses today. Just got done filing Pirates of the Carribean 4 with Johnny Depp...so she's talents, popular, rich, and has a great body :) Lots to feel like I had to compete with growing up...that's all :) I can say I'm really proud of her today, with the help of working on myself in the healing process...but I used to be really jealous !
