  • Kenton and Nat Cole recorded and toured together back in the early 50s.

  • Wow...I have heard Nat and his trio with this song many times, but did not know

he had paired up with Kenton and his orchestra on it...anyone know when and where this was recorded??? Fabulous work by two sadly long-gone jazz giants.....hope some hip yutes out there can keep this music going.

  • I was walking along, minding my business, when a bullet came out of now where and hit me in the eye, so I took a stimpack and used VATS to blow that MotherF****r into the Orange Coloured Sky! Shouting "Alakazam And Good Bye!"

  • I guess nothing can't be more pimp than listening to fabulous Nat King Cole while walking away from an exploding Vegas' Strip in your back and a cup of red wine in your hand! FABULOUS LAS VEGAS NEVADA! THE JEWEL OF THE DESERT!

  • All I have to say is "FLASH! BAM! ALAKAZAM!"

  • It is a crime that this song wasn't in Fallout New Vegas. Like WTF Obsidian.

  • @FlamingMeatballProd Well, they needed to have something to piss people off more than the invisible barriers and the "Can't enter the strip without an old cowboy hat" glitch.

  • Go Maynard!!!!!!!

  • very fine-

  • Fallout New Vegas is awesome!

  • I'm a big fan of Nat King Cole, and when I heard the trailer on TV, I instantly dropped everything and stared at the TV for the longest time. It'll be a thrill to play Fallout with Nat singing in the background, lol.

  • aw this brings back memories, when I was a little girl my dad used to constantly play nat king cole and natalie cole, he used to dance with me to this song... ah I want to go back to that. 22 is overated ; )

  • i cant wait 4 fall out new vegas

  • Oh, Fallout New Vegas. Thank you for bringing me here.

  • Black people with white people make the best music

  • @Blackmanfrombeyond I COMPLETELY agree. We're all tied up with how different or unique we are now. How about how we're the same, through great musically talent. The best music was these big bands, and small blues/jazz club bands where all the guys were from polar opposite backgrounds.

Great song, great time period, great everything. Thank's for uploading konidolfine!

  • @Blackmanfrombeyond Uh no how about black people by themselves...jazz was created by blacks

  • @Blackmanfrombeyond True lol.

  • bethesda sure knows how to get good song for fallout the post apocolyptic game. Can't wait for fallout new vegas to come it's going to be awesome XD

  • Man, Fallout developers know how to pick music, that's for sure.

First, Fallout 3 and it's amazingly fitting soundtrack, and this is looking to be just as good.

  • this was one of my favorite songs and its one fall out new vegas!!! haha

  • Fallout New Vegas :D

  • Awesome! I love this song.

  • Reminds me of christmas :)

  • I work at Game Stop and when the Mafia 2 trailer played with Aint that a kick in the head- I would turn around and sing with it every time. Now, the New Vegas trailer plays at work and it's amazing how many people walk in and say "wow! that's nat king cole...on a game!" This is older people mind you. Everytime it comes on I'm instantly in a better mood- I've always loved this genre of music and now I can get it in my games.

  • @sapphaggot I agree, I'm a fan of swing music and that's one of the reasons I love Fallout. One of the best soundtracks ever.

  • @sapphaggot

Hehe, guess grandparents are going to start playing real videogames now. (= not the Wii)

  • I look at it like this, fallout 3 and fallout: NV introduces this classic music to a new generation, who otherwise might have never heard it. Because of the games my mp3 player got a lot of new songs. (no I don't support the people posting "FALLOUT!" if you are going to comment at lest make it constrictive)

  • Fallout New Vegas!

  • @rocknrollfanatic96

People better not start spamming this. Okay, sure, the song was used in a trailer for the game. However the song wasn't made for the game. They just took it and used it for the trailer. A lot of people watch this song to hear this song. They don't care about a video game that just happened to use it.

  • @Bolchavik And those of us who are going to buy Fallout: New Vegas also enjoy the song for the song. The music that these songs bring to the game is to enrich ambiance and immersion after all.

  • @AForgottenTome

I'm going to buy Fallout: New Vegas. The trailer brought me to this video. We just shouldn't be spamming the comment box with "YAY! FNV!" Enjoying the song because it's in FNV is fine. I just can understand why people don't like those type of comments.

  • @Bolchavik I just thought it was really cool that they used it in the commercial. Lots of people will only watch this because of the commercial. It's introducing the song to a new generation. I don't see what's wrong with that. No need get defensive.

  • @rocknrollfanatic96 This exactly! I would never have heard these songs except for Fallout and now I really do enjoy them.

  • Did Kenton work with any other black performers of note?

  • @charold3 black - is not politcorect - afroamerican!!!!

  • ..and because DeLugg performed it constantly on "BRIOADWAY OPEN HOUSE", the song became one of the first hit recordings influenced by television.

  • love ittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • @JustForMyLover

    Thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much !!

  • Thats Maynard Ferguson on lead trumpet hitting the high notes here.

  • very hits !

  • OCS was written by Milton DeLugg, who at the time was band leader on Jerry Lester's late night tv show, Broadway Open House - an early form of the Tonight Show. Much later he was music director for the Gong Show.

  • OCS was actually written by two men: DeLugg and Willie Stein, who went on to become one of the producers of the original To Tell the Truth television show.

  • Ah hah, so this is the source of the OCSky recording on a cheapo Nat Cole CD I bought, with several poor quality recordings. But Orange Colored sky is great!

  • What is the name of the album that has this song on it, or is it a mash up? If it is, what are the names of the individual albums. This is perfection.

  • Wow - thank you so much for posting this. Amazing combination, Nat King Cole and Kenton. That band is amazing with Maynard leading the way.

  • I've never heard this song played at our weekly swing dance in Vancouver, Canada but it should be! This would be a blast to dance to!

  • the best song ever

  • Flash, bam, alacazam!

  • Ugh
