Ya, it's a pretty informative show I think (even though neural science has grown by leaps and bounds over the years).
I think one major difficulty with the biological sciences is that (probably more often than not) there's very little "basic understanding" of the phenomena; really great and useful results simply pop out of extremely lengthy computer calculations say. So it's hard to get a feel for what's *actually* going on.
What I think is interesting is how great their guesses were about the kinds of drugs and devices and treatment that would become important in the future.
Of course, it may be that simply thinking something will move in a certain direction in the future might actually be the *cause* of it eventually moving in that same direction ;)
