The reel after the Strathspey version of Dolina MacKay is definitely Gordon's rounded version of Lexie McCaskill. Next tune sounds like another entertaining GW version of Mrs MacLeod of Raasay. What a great job? That;s why he is the best in the World!
2/4 March "Jimmy Young". First strathspey is his variation of "Kirsty McCallum's Favourite", then he plays a strathspey version of "Dolina McKay" (which is traditionally a fourt-part reel), then he goes into a rounded version of "Dolina McKay" (reel, 2 parts), then he plays some reel I've never heard, then "Crossing the Minch". Slow air I don't know. First jig is his variation of "The Evesdropper" then "Donald Cameron's Powder Horn" then the same tune as a hornpipe (I guess it's a hornpipe).
does anybody know where to find the music for crossing the minch for free?
