I must say, Mera's Italian is a little better...

I believe this is a live recording (the instrumental improvisations are not exactly perfect) and I shold know: c'est moi le camioneur qui joue le cornet.

I definitely prefer Jaroussky's version to Mera's.

Jaroussky's interpretation here highlights the beauty of simplicity that can be found in Monteverdi's vocal works.

Mera's rendering sounds too romantic to me, and his pitch of singing is a little bit unstable.

Well, this is just what I felt. After all, chacun à son goût.
