When I went to watch this video, I honestly thought it was going to be something like an okay drawing of maybe a cartoon or something else. When I saw the first drawing, I really wasn't expecting a drawing this amazing. All three drawings are drawn encredibly well. You definitely have a great gift for drawing.

Also... one reason I think the creative drawings vs. sketched drawings don't express the same lively-hood was with the fact she could have more realistic features to work with during sketching from real human faces. I believe her/his mind works differently on creating on from scratch because its the matter of imagination that takes over not accuracy and memorizing from pictures as guidelines.

Man I don't know what's the deal with your works. Your BOA's and Aguilera's portraits are pinpoint accurate, but your non-reference creations suck. Their not of the same caliber. What's the deal? Are you used to the grid or perhaps you workover prints? it's a pity really, with all that shading skill you have.

It's mostly weak composition, blunt use of the rule of 3rd(even if you don't know what that means) that make a weak, fan work. We've all drawn pretty girls in skimpy clothes, with no background and no real reason why she should pose like that.

See fine paintings/drawings and you'll experience fantastic compositional strength and emotions. That's what separates professional artists from amateurs.

workover prints is a way to cheat, you print an image with faint gray, then you draw&shade over it.

hahahah i love it bbut i have no skill. i dont know about lines and detail and shading. I am simply amazed by how artists can see these things. I cant see shit. Is that first picture drawn by you or is it a black and white photo. If by you how the heck do you see all that detail man. Is it a third eye. Do artists have a different line of sight?

yea the 1st picture was drawn by me :). i feel to get the realistic factor, you have to catch a range of shadings. practice, especially the shadings that are very subtle - some seems invisible- but as u include more and more of those subtle shadings you see from the reference, you'll get a more realistic drawing. of course there are other factors that makes it look detaied and realistic. i believe the observational skill improves by training/practice in drawing :)

thank for the your comment! i used my fingers to dap and stroke, the amount of force to stroke or dap is varying with how much i think it needed. for me its easier to use fingers than certain blending tools, it take efffect faster.
