Rozz Williams was the only Christian Death that mattered. The other guy's band was just shitty Pompeii 99 with a stolen name.

p4horror: I don't think it's that cut and dried. For one thing, the two albums Rozz did with the remnants of Pompeii 99 were much better than anything else he did without them. Secondly, Rozz willingly participated with the Pompei personnel for these albums, so I'm not seeing how they "stole the name" -- especially since he left the band on his own; thirdly, although it is true that recent Valor material is crap, Atrocities, Wind-Kissed Pictures, and Scriptures were very good.

@RoseCrossVato Only Theatre of Pain is the best Death rock album ever made in my opinion so I won't get into the apples & oranges debate with you, it's like beating a dead horse. The French label wouldn't sign the shitty Pompeii 99 unless the name was changed majestically to Christian Death & a clause was added to give them all equal rights to the name. Rozz is the voice & it was his band. Valor the scumbag knew his garbage wouldn't get far unless it had the weight of the great X death moniker.

the "Heaven's and Hells " cassette tapes have a different "fidelity" and are equally great. "spectre" "haloes" are bonus songs on each cassette...as they were done with Eric Westfall in 1985 after Rozz left CD? anyway...

rozznet can hook you up with some tape traders to get rare stuff

@stoleninfo: I wasn't aware he did these songs after he left in 1985. I thought this one and Haloes were from done in the German studio sessions during the Ashes tour, along with Valor, Gitane, and David Glass. You could be right though. I'll have to look into the matter a little bit more.
