Even if Nick sang while being disabled by a stroke and John wasn't his best because of health problems, it still would have been an honor to be there in the presence of the second coming of the KT. I wish someone would post a line recording of Last Month Of The Year. All that is available on Youtube is a mic recoding of that great KT album.
Pity you were not there the last time the orignal Kingston Trio (incl. John Stewart;
instead of Dave Guard performed on stage. To say it is bad is horrible when you see these fabulous guys performing in spite of all their health problems!!!
They were the best that ever went on stage and that it the real truth!!!!
What a thrill to see Bob Shane, John Stewart, and Nick Reynolds together again for the last time for all true Kingston Trio fans. A true american icon of popular and folk music.
I'm still catching up on the Kingston Trio's history; it looks like perhaps Nick was recovering from a stroke(?) No need for perfection here; it's just great to see them all together...
I mean no disrespect, but this is painful to watch. I'm over 60 and this is a reality check for me. Time waits for no one. At least the Trio left a legacy of music that will live forever.
sad video !!!!

Just feel sad listening to this but it's wonderful that they're still out there doing their thing. Pure nostalgia but hard to hear.

bless their sweet hearts. They gave us so much, back in the day....it would have been an honor just to be in the room.

Forget their ages and afflictions. Forget the diminished voice capacities - those boys could still pluck and play! The music folks, the music!
Hooray for the Kingston Trio

Love the Kingston Trio. John Stewart was a great song writer. He wrote one of my favorites, "Molly Dee."

I know Dave Guard was the 3rd person in the Original Kingston Trio Group.
However, for the real Kingston Trio fans, John Stewart is counted just as much original as the absolutely fabolous Dave Guard.

@bowennstam that's right

@bowennstam Right, Dave was the best !

Sorry but this is not the original Kingston Trio lineup. The originals consisted of Dave Guard(died in 1991), Bob Shane, and Nick Reynolds(d-2008)

I agree, but for me the best was Dave Guard, the first Trio's leader.

John's (Stewart's) gone almost two years ago... Now Mary Travers. I'm so blessed have loved them, and so sad they are gone.

Damn. 2/3 are gone now. Bob should have handled the solos, unfortunately. But god bless Nick.

I must agree... To see them so vivrent in one movie, and then see them, no disrespect, half dead here.
