Joegoslavië had toen ook echt geen misselijke ploeg, maar Nederland speelde die avond echt super. En dan uitgeschakeld worden door het anti-voetbal van Italië.... zoveel penalty`s missen.... pfff

Toch een grotere prestatie dan dit soort uitslagen tegen de San Marino's van deze wereld, al heb ik natuurlijk wel genoten van 11-0 ;)

Then they missed 5 penalties against taly.. made problem with RAI UNO crew on stadium and month after we heard that Davids and de Boer were using doping but it was associated with Italian league... That does not mean that Dutch do not played great football but there was too much politics as well and by reaction of Davids who refused after to play for Holland we can speculate that players were under doping without them really knowing..

I think it is a shame.. Dutch were the best team together with France but were under enormous pressure and starting with the game against Czechs which Holland won scandalously with gift like penalty , whole tournament was basically setup for Holland France final. But who could think of that Dutch would miss 5 penalties against Italy?? :).
