They are both great themes,but I like Sammys version best. You've gotta love the arrangement with electric piano in the background.

Its truly a damn shame they dont make tv shows like this anymore.the 70'swere the end of the line.

The "All in the Family" opening theme "Those were the days" and Roger Kellaways closing piano on "remembering you" were great as well.

Sammy Davis had sooooo many obstacles to overcome to be half as famous, loved and talented as he was. What a determined driven individual. He is an inspiration to me.

He looked older than 24 yrs old. People lived faster and looked older, years ago. Like otis Redding who was only 26 when he died, although his voice sounded like a seasoned older man and he looked like he was in his mid 30's.

what terrific talents they both were, i can never fully grasp why freddie died. i was very young at the time, but loved him as soon as i got older. sammy speaks for himself. i just wish freddie would have stuck around a little longer. R.I.P.!

So here's the irony in this segment with Freddie and Sammy -

Freddie was very depressed over his impending divoce and Freddie Jr. was about 7 months old. unfortuantely we know the result -

On the other hand Sammy and Altovise adopted Manny - and after Sammy's death, Manny was treated horribly. I took Manny to see Ben Vereen in Wicked on Bway and I just wanted to help this guy - but wasn't able to. His step mother couldn't help herself let alone him. Manny I think about you always. GM
