@joyariffic this is a regular surface piercing. the tygon is more comfortable to wear than a metal bar and tends to heal better. but... microdermals are the way to go. i think they hurt less, are more comfy, and heal far better. i do very few surface piercing any more, as anchors are far superior
@funwithsharpthings thanks :) what about the rejection rate? i have microdermals and they are both rejecting. does the tygon have a lower rejection rate?
@joyariffic no. microdermals are much better. tygon is still a regular surface piercing, which is much harder to heal. either one can reject, but anchors normally heal much better. i suspect that most anchors that reject were either placed poorly, or placed in a location that is tougher to heal. where are your anchors that are rejecting?
@joyariffic i am actually the piercer. the wrist is a tough spot to heal for any type of piercing. they tend to get beat up a little more there than in other spots. sometimes your body just doesnt want them. try applying pressure, kind of massaging them gently after each saline soak. sometimes this can help, but often, once they start to reject there is little you can do
@funwithsharpthings ok thanks alot, i want to get them on my clavicles next time, is that a better spot for them? if not what are the best spots to get them in?
@joyariffic ya. that's usually an ok spot. the wrist is more exposed. do you understand what i mean. any place around extremeties is going to be harder to maintain. if the anchors are implanted well into your clavicles, there's no reason why they won't be a successful piercing
were can u get that done I want it I got surface piercing but I want tygon piercing love it x

@funwithsharpthings hey so uve had this for two yrs now..did it reject or not?
rockmanticgurl 1 year ago
tygon, not bioflex. it's more comfortable than anything else and has a much smaller rejection rate. and it's a little more expensive.
funwithsharpthings 3 years ago
wow, thats a interesting method using a bioflex barbell instead of a surface barbell. Did u do this for the cost or for another reason...
