  • ok. let's criticize the 16 year old for saying "actually" on a tv interview. you're so cool.

  • I have Dr.Corbett this year for AP Art History, it's a rather interesting class.

  • Bill is pathetically desperate for affirmation.

  • im in high school, and i think your an idiot bill. put that in your book.

  • chad is a bitch. pass it on

  • why doesn't chad just sit-down an SHUT-UP

oh wait that is just your atheists

  • although I am an atheist and a libral, I agree that the teacher should be taken some action against. HOwever please don't forget there are many christian, as well as other relgious teachers that do the same. I could even refrence my personal experiances.

  • Bill O'Reilly = Shit

  • Chad Farhan, you're a fucking dick.

  • Comment removed

  • his teacher was right. That kid was a pussy

  • This is a club I would join If I went to that school. Interested in expansion?

  • chad is a bitch lol

  • He was talking about the situation for religious peasants in Europe. This was the practical result of religion throughout history. Yeah, he was a bit brash about it, but that was probably the worst quotes they could find of him, let's be honest.

I'll be honest, I'd teach it the same way based on what I know.

Me personally, I don't know him, I haven't been in his class. Maybe he's perpetuating propaganda, in which case he should be disciplined. But I don't think this is the case.

  • Wow, a teacher willing to speak his mind. Props! Any teacher willing to deny mysticism is ok in my book!

  • It is a known fact that O'reilly put his face in that young boys gooch... Billy loves the jocks.

  • Chad Farnan is a whiny douche. People will criticize each other for everything. If this kid gets to sue for someone bashing his religion, everyone should go sue happy for being called, "b*tch", "n*gg*r", etc. Anything, really. Sue, sue, sue. Or just shut up and realize that not everyone will agree with your beliefs and just learn the damn history instead of complaining.

  • @xmikeyx practice what you preach, what differance does it make for you ? let me guess your atheist.

  • Deffinetly went to school with this kid and had the same teacher, everyone loved Corbett. I deffinetly remember this lecture too and what he took was completely out of context. He was talking about how kings back in the day would say god and jesus talked to them and if they went against the king they would be going against jesus, so finally the peasants had to take their "jesus glasses off" to understand that going against the king was not against god. this kid got spit on, pushed into lockers.

  • First off, this story is not just on FOX so saying that fox is misrepresenting, are trying to use FOX as a crutch to invalidate this bigotry. It is true that fox manufactures stories.. check out this story on other forms of media and its pretty much the same. This is disgusting, there is no tolerance for bashing any other religion muslim, jewish etc. But people with an agenda whose values dont necessarily mesh with christianity behave in the exact same way they DONT wish to be treated.

  • Bill O. is a liar so what else is new?

  • @MrSeamus09

You won't have him as a teacher for long. Bigots like this need to go...

  • Fire the ignorant bigoted teacher...

  • Christian hating, intolerant, know-it-alls are the best!!

  • Teacher speaks the truth... also fox news is at least half lies

  • Bloody compensation culture, where is people's common sense.

  • "cristhian hating intolerant know it all".. hehehe, mmmmmmm

  • i went to highschool with this kid, everyone loved corbet. this kid got spit on and thrown against lockers after this. deserved it

  • @MrSeamus09 If that is indeed the case, then this video has misleaded me as to the context that the teacher was saying things in. If the subject was indeed about religion in history, and the teacher wasn't criticizing students, then I have no problem with it. However it still seems the teacher was holding a bias against religion.

Now, if he indeed does this on a daily basis, surely every class isn't about religion.

  • @supertrinko note, this is fox news, and the Bill oreilly show. That asshole takes everything out of proportion.

  • chad......go fuck yourself

  • I've never had Corbet, but from my friends' experiences, all of them LOVE him. Corbet provokes his students to argue with him, which makes a subject stick in the student's mind. He's doing what other people in the real world will do these kids. And I don't appreciate how they twist our school's FAAK...they refer to it as an "atheist club", like Corbet is in charge of a group of kids who are aiming to spread their belief of there being no God. Damn I hate people who are so narrow minded sometimes

  • did the student have permission to tape this ? Under what circumstances wre the comments made ? there seems to be an enormous amount of noise. So no complaint to the principle or schol inspector? kid must be after money

  • Hey! O'Reilly admitted he was a liar at the end!

  • O'Reilly: "This is just one sided, its not fair and balanced."

Kid: "He needs to show both sides of the story."

FOX knows fair and balanced, they really should be the ones to judge this kind of thing.

  • @lmeiser Fox knows fair and balanced but they're intellectually dishonest, actually, they're plain dishonest! I wouldn't trust any news/media as far as I could throw them!

  • Fuck these bastereds I say we do what North Korea does and kill all these fucking evangelicals.

  • Bill Orielly = Shit

  • that's called taching history...the only thing wrong about the whole thing is that this fucktard dosen't want to learn real history...he should go to a christian school kif he wants to hear christ loving bullshit...

  • @anteracmacash Frothing-at-the-mouth rants != history you stupid bastard.

  • ELLE OH ELLE.. I had a teacher who was the total opposite.. In fact he called gays fags and dykes and anyone who is not judeo-christian devils.. Exact words.. hell he would be 10 times worse in the opposite direction then this guy. and the funny thing is.. he was my favorite teacher HAHAHA

  • The United States needs more people like this teacher. Anti-Christian sentiments that support the idea of rational thought and a spirit of questioning things is what more religious morons such as this ignorant, rather dim little boy need. You cant pray to be smarter, more compassionate, more humane - you've got to do something about it and to do anything effectively you need a high degree of nderstanding. Get educated. Question what's going on around you. If you dont, you are doomed. And soon.

  • @byronlevey There was nothing rational about the teachers choleric rants and bald assertions. If you were not such a pretentious moron and worthless pos then you'd recognize that.

  • So what if it is rational or not? Surely one's beliefs, if they are worthy, should stand the tests of criticism. Not everyone is going to agree with what you believe, and sometimes they may go so far to challenge or insult them. So what? If you truly want to be a better Christian, then surely you should start at compassion and understanding. If you want to strengthen your beliefs, then you may have to admit that you are wrong.

  • Look i am in Dr.Corbett's class and so wat after a while you get sick of religion being brought up in his political debates. I am irish Catholic and i love my god and religion but corbett hates when people try to mix politics and religion

  • "what religion are you?" hah

  • The kid should stop being a whining little bitch, and if he thinks that religion is somehow great, then debate Mr. Corbett about it, maybe he will humour you.

  • lol... "we're Christian"... like there's only one denomination of Christianity.

Mormons are Christians, and if a mormon said "I'm Christian", people would pitch a fit.

  • haha, he's my teacher right now...

  • really? hi five him for me =)

  • of course hes a jock...

  • Fuck Fox they're all a bunch of right wing anti-liberal geeks who want to control the media. Fuck you O'Reily you're just as much of a complete retarded with your ideals and wishwash comments. Get bent.

  • @iTr0ll geeks? That would be an insult, to the geeks. Geeks are intelligent people, who unlike ultra-conservatives, do not allow religion to dumb them down.

  • shut it nerd

  • HA! Dr. Corbett was one of my favorite teachers. His class taught me more about thinking for myself than any other class I've ever taken, in college or otherwise.

It's funny to me that Chad goes to Fox, the "unbiased", absurdly right wing news station that Corbett HATED with every ounce of his being.

The only reason students get "shot down" is because they can't defend their ideas correctly. Corbett is NOT anti-Christian, he is anti-blind followers. "Irreversible damage" lol. That girl is weak.

  • LOVE YOUR SARCASM !!!! (or was it ?)

  • @Criticalman What do you mean "magically", it called adaptation. And studies show that an overwhelming percentage of the scientific community do no believe in a god, so I am assuming that you are saying science is bullshit as well? If so, then chemists, physicists, biologists are just wasting their time? Ha, if that's the case, then I want you to stop taking medicine the next time something happens, and instead try to pray the disease away, see how well that works out. You're pathetic.

  • well said mate

  • I completely agree with this guy needing to be checked and taken legal action against. Even though I agree with what Dr. James Corbett says, he is breaking the law by preaching a certain political and religious idea. If I were in a class where the teacher were on the god squad and saying that gays and women who have abortions and everything like that were pure evil, I would want him sued. So it should go both ways I think.

  • @PiecesOfRainbow7 but still, Dr. Corbett is teaching people to be rational, so I don't think that he should be sued.

  • @PiecesOfRainbow7 We only heard one side of the story!

  • @mythicalhell That's a really good point. The transcripts seemed a little inappropriate though for a class, don't you think? I don't know. Complicated!

  • My history teacher is Atheist and he is disgusted by religion. lol he's constantly making fun of history's mistakes from religion and laughs at it.

  • @WizardlyWakish Good for him!

  • I love Dr. James Corbett!

  • turning a pupil into a "know it all" has got to be the highest aspiration of any teacher..

but i can see how it is a threat to bill.

If only i had teachers like this.. not just the facts but in the context of thinking beyond established ideology..

  • It's terrible how religion has imposed itself as truth and law over us. George Bush actually said "...I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." At what point does education step on religion's toes? This has led to the debate of teaching birth control and evolution and perhaps other science in schools because this scientific free thinking is opposed to religious views. There's too much disputed territory

  • ew, I can't believe that bush said that. Shame on him!

  • I was a student in James Corbett's class since last Thursday (graduated). This is a pointless lawsuit. I am a Junior now who is very much Christian, with Christian parents and i go to church as well. I can honestly tell you he is EASILY the most like teacher as CVHS. He has told us multiple times how in no way is he trying to alternate our beliefs and has no offensive position against religion. In no way am i less religious because of his teachings. He is one of the best teachers at the school.

  • eh...everyone knows fox is full of shit :)

  • Corbett is doing great things. It's weird hearing things based on evidence, not the bible, but that's just in the beginning. Everyone is afraid to die, that doesn't mean we need to make things up to make you feel better about it. I don't remember being unhappy before I was born, I suspect after death will be the same.

  • I wish a had a teacher like that... he is making those teens think. Ultimately the parents are the ones who teach their children in what to believe.

  • i go to that school haha, they were takin pictures of that kid out in front of the school.

  • This kid is unique. It takes someone really special to go on national TV and admit to being a pussy.

  • lol the doctor is telling the truth

  • the kids an idiot, thats o'reilly attraction to him

  • WoW Chad Farnan = the Rube of the year award i guess Athiests should have a awesome lawsuit on dissagreement terms maybe we should boycott a christian based school for fun and money hey what do you know religion and money holy shit what a coincedence

  • what? lol

perhaps a lawsuit was a bit out of line but cmon, the guy cant say crap like that in the classroom either.

  • For me the funny thing is that these two muppets completely look the part. Without knowing what this was about, if someone asked me:

Someone: Hey ijustwannawatchshit, what do these people look like to you?

me: They just look like a pair of happy Christians.

Someone: And what do you think they are on Bill O'reilly for?

me: I'll bet they are bitching about being hard done by somehow.

Someone: What about the shouty thing they're talking to? What's that look like?

me: Looks like a cunt to me.

  • If he said bad things about Atheists, that would be unconstitutional. He is just anti-Christian. He should not establish Christianity in his class meaning he can be anti-Christian. I'm no lawyer.

  • thats not the piont he is a teacher of history not religion its history not religion and polotics time so he should as well as many other teachers should at least in the classroom shut up and do their job that is TEACH

  • Religion is probably one of the biggest parts of history, especially Christianity for the Western student. And the majority of the Christian influence throughout history has been positive. So neglecting Christianity makes for bad history education, and being anti-Christian makes it even worse.

  • i disagree see i learned a lot about history from my history teacher without christianity even being mentioned and it should be left up to the parents and students on whether or not any form of religion gets mentioned in the classroom all im saying is that the classroom is not a place for religous disscusion and political debate its a place for learning church is for learning about religion go to a religous school if you want both a religion and subject taught at the same time

  • Thinking that you learned a lot about history without ever learning about Christianity shows that you really didn't learn that much about history. Or rather you learned an incomplete and biased version of history, which isn't really that useful. The classroom is for learning about reality, and religion (especially true religion) play a large role in reality. Sure, teachers could revise reality for you, but then you get a bad education.

  • i dont think i have learned a lot from that class i know i did and as for religion i learned that from my church, my family and the bible as well as several books religion has no place in school and to think that religion should be taught in anyother school other than the private religous schools is nothing more than ignorant nobody should be forced to learn about any religion.I mean what about islam it played an important part in history should you be forced to learn their religion in school

  • America is a lawsuit nation. My history teacher also expressed views, that I opposed during class too. Perhaps, I miss out on a lawsuit.

  • Would u say hes an anti christian guy?

Bill your such a retard where did this ass go to school.

  • I don't think they had a case. On what basis should they be able to sue the teacher? Please tell me they didn't win the lawsuit.

  • Christian Holidays are the businesses dream. "Lets get all of the rich families to buy their kids thousands of dollars of gifts for Christmas and not tell them how selfish it is to accept presents on someone else's birthday."

The irony is...we commonly associate big business with Conservatives, and we associate Conservatives with Christians.

Good work manipulating your own people

  • do some of you understand exactly what this teacher has done? I myself attend a public high school and in no situation should a teacher ever express their personal views. This kid was in an AP class and they are meant to be taught in a specific manner in order to prepare students for the AP test at the end of the year. This class never leaves any time nor is that place for a teacher to express their personal views.

  • Much of European history happened because of religion being used to manipulate the peasants.

You might want to look up the term "indulgences"

  • I'm not sure what kind of learning structure you have been brought up in but in a PUBLIC school teachers are not supposed to ever reveal their own personal views, and this teacher clearly violated that. I'm not sure what the reason you brought up indulgences for because that is when a person pays for the remission of their sins. (So there's your history lesson for the day) Also just because he's a teacher of european history does not entail that his views on the subject are necessary.

  • Indulgences were how the church extorted money from people because "they would go to hell if they didn't give money to the church".

Does it go past your thick ignorant head that perhaps the point of giving an opinion is to have students argue back? If a whole classroom full of AP European History students can't argue back, they don't deserve a proper education anyway.

Also, I wonder exactly what assignment Chad was trying to get out of by casing suck a ruckus.

  • "So there's your history lesson for the day"

    Hey, uhh, how 'bout you...

    ya know...

    Go fuck yourself?

I go to a public school and it's perfectly normal for a teacher to teach poorly or hardly teach at all...

In such a subjective subject as history, where interpretation of events is needed, students have to learn to form opinions and challenge opinions they don't agree with. When Chad didn't agree with his teacher he should have just challenged him.

  • "No one should be silenced when they're speaking from their heart," says Miss California on Fox TV only minutes after that station rips through Dr. Corbett for doing the exact same thing. I guess religious people have rights and anti-religious people do not.

While I think Dr. Corbett's language was confrontational, discussions about religion DO belong in classrooms, otherwise, students only hear two points of view: the pastors at their churches and their parents who attend those churches.

  • Graffic Guy you are obviously wrong and closed minded. For example, you probably think the bible is inaccurate but I will state as a "fact" (wow your so big and smart) all but one prophesy has been fulfilled in the bible. Also "science" (all hail) is constantly finding old biblical sights previously thought to be fiction (Sodom and Gomorrah for example). I could prove you wrong more but that would waste my time. I unlike you am more than happy to hear your argument also in fact I dare you to!

  • You're probably not smart enough to understand science. The entire basis of science is to make observations to learn about the inner workings of natural occurrences, and to use that knowledge to infer even more new information, and also to use the knowledge for day-to-day survival.

Also, how come so many of these "prophecies" only seem to be known after-the-fact? The way the bible is written, it isn't that hard to take arbitrary events and reinterpret some text to force it to apply.

  • Hahahah, don't try taking this elsewhere like to my profile page! We're gonna have this argument out in the open...

You said the Bible is the most accurate book, and that only one three letter word is in question. You also asserted that I have no legitimate facts supplied and asked whether I am an atheist.

I am actually not an atheist. I consider myself technically Christian.

Also, did you know that people once thought the Earth was the center of the universe? They read THAT in the Bible too.

  • There will be no argument. You believe there is some bearded guy and his 'family' in the clouds making decisions for everything and everyone in the universe. I believe that science uses measurable data and actual facts to attempt to understand the universe.

    Good luck, enjoy your bible.

  • LOL, the argument I referenced is actually my way of inciting these zealots to get them to say more hilarious statements!

"If you flap your arms every second for your whole life, will you suddenly grow wings?" PRICELESS

  • That teacher should be fired! He is starting to belive his own lies, and trying to brainwash his students now. When the bible was written, there was no"state"and the constitution died years ago.I wonder who is really brainedwashed????

  • you make no sense

  • That man should get a raise. He believes something he does not consider to be a lie. Only you consider it a lie. Him speaking his mind is just fine. When the bible was written, people had nothing else to do other than eat sand. You are the one who is brainwashed, astropecker.

  • 1. this kid obviously does not understand European History. Religion is the driving force of most of western civilization's history.

    2. This kid is full on seeking attention, why else put a teacher through the ringer like this?

    3. I would put real good money this kid is a closet gay.

  • 3. FTW. Kid's an obvious gay.

  • agreed on all points.

  • The teacher should sue back, imo. Either way, this is bullshit.

  • Chad is a fucking loser. European history is all about religion, that's how and why the borders changed so much over 2000 years.

Fuck off with creationism.....give me a break.

  • only name your kid chad if you hate him

  • He's not suing because the teacher "has a unique way of teaching," it's because he's showing hostility toward people's beliefs. If you want to say that he has free speech, then stop the ACLU from all of their anti-Christian lawsuits. Nowhere in the constitution is it written that there is a "separation of church and state."

  • Well, by your own logic, if there is no "separation of church and state" then Chad shouldn't have had any case at all....correct? It would have to work both ways.

  • fuck you u sob i will beat anyone who stand in my face and talks like this and go to jail with a smile on my face because i love god and a strong conservative

  • How very Christian of you. Your comment sounds quite biblical and forgiving in the true sense of the word.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Kudos to Chad and his parents for standing up for their...OUR...1st Amendment right.

  • in the end Jesus wins.

    Why?

because Christians are too dimwitted to see the truth in the world and have the strength in numbers in this country to gain support of anything

  • I think chads a jew

  • is christians that are hostile to atheistic opinions, i think atheists have tolerated alot more from christians than the other way round, are you saying that any teacher who questions religion should be sacked?

  • That kid Chad is such a flake. He'd be more at home in private school... Or fuck it, home schooled. Obviously he's full of teen angst and small group of kids have congregated to set this teacher up. It aint like he made the students do a report on it.

Its funny how their whole case is based on the teacher violating THEIR 1st amendment right. But, doesnt that first ammendment right protect the teacher also?

Like i said before about Chad... What a FLAKE.

  • "Creation is superstitious nonsense" is an accurate scientific statement. This is the comment that wins the Christian boy a legal victory? Wow, as a teacher they're telling me, in my science class, don't ask the Christian proponents of ID to produce evidence, do the rigorous experiments, publish their results and open their methods and results to peer review.

    ID is not science.

BillO, try to rebut the barbarism of religion, especially Christianity, in European history.

  • The ruling tells me that it is perfectly fine for a Christian to take over a classroom, put down non-Christians, cause disorder, and make everyone feel uncomfortable. But if a person criticizes Christianity, the crime of the century had been committed.

Plus, teachers try to stimulate conversation.

  • teachers do not have the same freedom of speech in the classroom as they do outside. In the class, they are officials of the state, and cannot support or oppress religion. I don't really think that he was, but I know that I don't want teachers preaching ANY gospel, or pushing Intelligent Design, or saying that atheist are immoral people. I am glad that the judge seems to think creationism is religious. Now teachers cannot teach ID in classrooms. HUZZAH!!!

  • I am not a lawyer, so I can't really say if this lawsuit is frivolous or not. I read the official complaint that this kid filed, and it seems like the teacher was trying to show how and why many things in history happened. For example: if he were to talk about the reasons why The republicans won so many votes in '04, he could not avoid the "values" issues, which is code for, "conservative christian values". it is a legitimate topic in history. But teachers do not have the same freedom of speech

  • Chad Farnan should be ashamed of himself for killing the freedom of speech in the name of his hurting little feelings.

The teacher has every right to express his opinions, so long as it is not going against his contract with the school.

If you don't like the school you can always leave - you have no right to silence a man's opinions.

All this kid wants is to have HIS voice the last one, he wants popularity and to feel righteous - and bullying someone else using the law is his means.

  • I'm a bit torn on this issue. This teacher was clearly out of line and being very offensive when he attacked Christianity. I do think he has a right to talk about the fallacies in Christianity, but this was a rant and not just anything of substance.

  • Students are actually awake and pay attention in history class? Since when!

  • since Dr Corbett has been teaching rational thought and interest in the world. any student who takes his class will say that the most important thing they got from his class was a reasonable view of the world today

  • WTF?!?! kids a pussy for not going to the principal or teacher first.

  • You could see the lawyer licking his lips.

  • "Irreversible damage" ROFL LOLOLOLOL

Sounds like someone is getting pissed because someone interfered with the brainwashing of their kid.

  • Chad Farnan is a fucking faggot.

  • I agree with this teacher, but he was out of line. The class is not the place for rants. As a history teacher, it should be easy enough to show how religion has corrupted many institutions and been the cause for many wars. He doesn't have to be so venomous and derogatory. An objective analysis of religion should be enough to convince a rational person, but if is not a part of the class subject, it should be left alone.

  • That's for the school to determine, not for every person on the street who feels like they have the right to tell other people what they should think act and how to do their job. Out of line or not - this is not a legal issue. Making it a legal issue goes against freedom of speech

  • Kid is DUMB

  • wtf? kid never approached the guy... recorded him, bypassed anyone else at the school and went straight to the attorneys? what a dick.

  • This is why the US is a joke around the world.

  • If they're being truthful about how often and how long he talks about such things then I think the teacher needs to get fired just because he's not teaching. Personal rants about the evil of religion is all fine and good if its related, but if he's just spewing it out every day for no reason then its counter productive.

But still, the law suit is a joke. The kid is obviously just another moronic christian jock getting butthurt over opinions that he doesn't like.

  • Chad Farnan may have won the first round in Federal Court but there's this little thing called the appeals court. Let's see what happens there.

I hope Chad has his application in to attend Oral Roberts University. What a little pussy.

  • This twit should go to church if he wants his delusions pacified. His lawyers are just looking for cash (big surprise). Perhaps if Texas succeeds he can go there and learn how god had a hand in every historical event -- otherwise he should enroll in a christian "school" and revel in his ignorance, surrounded by others doing the same thing.

Wah, wah, I don't want to learn facts if they are uncomfortable to me, wah wah. What an ignorant little snot.

  • This is fucking ridiculous. Go to a private Catholic school!

  • in 1000 years everyone will read about this event with confusion.

  • IF (that's a big "if" because this is O'Reilly) that tape is Dr. Corbertt and IF he does *actually* rant each day about it, then he's in the wrong. I'm an Atheist myself and when we're fighting for equality, flying into anti-theist rants doesn't help. It hurts to see a fellow rationalist go down but I can't like the guy too much because he's made it harder for all atheist and agnostic teachers in America now. Thanks to him, we're one more step closer to anti-blasphemy laws and theocracy.

  • chad is such a cunt

  • While he did violate the 1st, O'Reilly is still a douchebag liar and creotards are still morons.

  • Chad is a sniveling little Christian creep

  • His Teacher is Our God Now!!

  • Does it not sound like the teacher in the clip is being ironic?

  • 1, 2, 3 cock punches.

  • i'm not voting up for the whiny brat and o'reily, i'm voting for the awesome teacher, i wish i had teachers like that.

  • I'd really like to hear the WHOLE tape. I'd like to hear the context.

    PS

This kid is a bitch. He didn't even man up and say anything to the guy before suing. Pathetic.

  • kid's a DOUCHE!

  • I'm an atheist too, but this seems to me a question of what it means to educate. You can't force your views down kids' throats; anyone who is in the teaching business like me knows that methods like his are not conducive to learning and development of independent thought, which is the whole point of going to school. I had tons of liberal teachers, none of them said the things he said. This man is a dictator. Law suit seems harsh though.

  • OK, it's wrong for a teacher to start preaching to a kid about the bible or Jesus or Allah or whatever. But it's OK for him a teacher to push their personal views on religion or lack thereof?

Some of you people that post here are completely retarded and short sided and have poor perspectives beyond your shallow world views.

I hate Bill O'Reilly, but this debate isn't about him. It's about the law. Teachers aren't allowed to "preach" either for or against god.

  • that guy is such an asshole. in the recording you could tell he was teaching AP history. this kid is such a liar. WOW. i hope he was socially out casted for the rest of the year. why didn't he just switch classes??? it's just a stupid kid that's prolly from a rich family that thinks he's better than everyone and wants to pull a power play on the school district.

  • OK, so if the opposite happened and teacher got up in a class and started telling the students that they had to believe in Jesus or they would go to hell? That would be illegal, correct? It's the same thing!

I love how hypocritical so many people are.

  • You're wrong. Corbett was actually stating a fact - 'creationism' is not science - it IS superstition - there is NO scientific evidence supporting 'creationism'. He was talking about a teacher who wanted to teach 'superstition' in class as opposed to actual fact. The fact that the judge decided that 'creationsim' was religion was reinforcing the fact that creationism is superstition.

  • Man you are so wrong. If you love science so much, you would know that there is more science behind God's creation than evolution. If you flap your arms every second for your whole life, will you suddenly grow wings? Try it.

  • First of all, people don't 'love' science, they respect its truth.

Please show me one piece of evidence proving gods existence please?

Oh and what you said about flapping arms... That has absolutely nothing to do with evolution. You have a way twisted view on what evolution actually is.

And btw, evolution and god can coexist. God Could have created the system of evolution.

  • @NinjaturtleDK well the biggest problem that the theory of evolution has is the beginning. Lets say that over billions of years, the proteins and all that stuff came together and created a cell. The problem occurs with life. Lets say the all the necessary components came together to make an amoeba.... well we have a dead amoeba.

The reason why any living creatures stay alive is because we have the capacity to recreate cells. For this we need DNA, which in the beginning they don't have.

  • In your mockery of evolution and science you have revealed your ignorance.

Evolution is based on the fact that the offspring of an organism are going to be slightly different. These differences either help or hinder the survival of the offspring. Better traits are passed on because the best organisms live long enough to reproduce, while the others die. Over an incredibly large number of generations, these changes add up and become new species.

None of that can prove nor disprove God exists

  • I'm not going to waste my time debating. You have absolutely no undertanding of the theory of evolution. Furthermore if you actually believe that 'faith' is any kind of science then there is nothing more I can say.

    Good luck.

  • @masonator1248 You've obviously only heard of Lamarck's Theory of evolution which is the unaccepted theory today. We accept Darwins theory of evolution which states mutations are completely random so if you're lucky enough to grow wings when you need them you'll live, but if you don't... you'll become extinct. That's why 99.999999999% of species are extinct.

  • @masonator1248 LOL typical christian ignorance. FLAP YOUR ARMS, GOOD ONE

  • Fucking stupid kid, that is pathetic. The religious freaks should be shot. There is no "other side of the story" to speak of.
