I member this movie! At the time I thought it was a real bloddy movie. Now as I watch it I can see the chessy acting. I'll watch this move over and over till my eye's bleed.
Just love the part where the ninja kicks the cop of his bike and on the next scene you see the same cop flying up in the air before falling in the water... classic
@JonEddie1971 The ninja who is a hired assassin, was hired to kill a research scientist. Which would be the man in the golf cart. The ninja got his gear together and stalked his prey. The scientist apparently has body guards. So I am sure there is a back story never told here. Ninja III: The Domination is the third film in the series, first being enter the ninja (1981), second being revenge Of The Ninja(1983). Sho kosugi is always used in the series to play either a hero or a villain.
Seriously, real ninjas back then didn't even dress in black suits like that. They dressed "the suspense" like normal citizens to "blend" in. That ninja sure didn't blend in. The idea of the suit was just a byproduct of ninjas on stages.
WTF was he doing on the golf course anyway? I never understood that. He just went to his secret case, put on his ninja outfit and went on a killing spree at a golf course?
Great! Always watched this movie on my aunts friends VHS recorder. It was a piece of high tech hardware back in 80s in Czech republic. I was just amazed how cool ninja movies are being made in USA. :-D Good memories. Thanks.
cheesy you got to be on crack this movie is bad ass fuck the snakeyes and storm shadow scene fro the gi joe movie made in 2009 now theres a movie thats cheesy and garbage
@bigbrotherbrown86 I also love this movie because it is one of my first marital arts movie that I saw earlier on. I was a fan of Sho Kosugi and his fighting style. Love the scene at the end where two of the ninja masters fight to the death. I wanted this movie for my movie collection because I can't find one in DVD in USA. Do you know where I might get one?
@genevievewyatt It was also one of my first martial arts movies I ever saw as a kid and fell in love with ninjas and martial arts. I've always been a fan of Sho Kosugi, ever since that movie and not to mention Bruce Lee and Enter The Dragon. As for the dvd, sorry :( I've tried looking everywhere for it and have never found a place that carries it. I am still looking and if I find a store that carries it I will let you know. I'm from Southern California by the way. Where are you from?
@bigbrotherbrown86 Thanks for replying back to me. I am from Flagstaff, AZ. This is one of the movies that I want to get for my collection. Another one that I am looking for is No Retreat, No Surrender and Red Sun Rising. These are some of my early favorite marital arts movie that get me interested in marital arts movies. I would appreciate any help in locating these movies.
@genevievewyatt No Problem happy to reply back. I don't really know these movies you listed but I found a VHS version of Ninja 3:The Domination on a website called "Offer.com" But I think you would agree with me that dvd or blu ray is better. As for these other films I will search more and let you know if I find anything. Sorry I couldn't be of better help but I will keep searching. Take Care :)
have some class, this is realistic, more than stuff today(ie short-cuts and saving a buck via computer graphics-and tatooed bullies and game videos flying in the air potheads. And at least theres genuine feelings in the characters' dialogue. None of the acting from the demon ninja on the golf course is dubbed with photo film splicing. The props like the golf clubs being bent-granted is fake metal and the cart he lifted with one hand was fake, but at least there are no obvious props in sight
I get so irritated with people who just stand there screaming, making no effort whatsoever to save themselves! Not much of a challenge for a ninja, is it?? LOL
@sanddocon The first 2 were called Enter the Ninja, and Revenge of the Ninja. But the only thing is. None are connected to one another. I read it was a series of Ninja movies that were made. But for some strange reason, they called this Ninja 3. Even though no one at the time knew why.
actually this movie its very intelecual.It has a cult message critizing the american style of prosecution. WATEVER! WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SAW !! ROFL!!
got a question about ninjas? training, history, origin, ect...? i'll answer it, just message ur question to me or comment on my channel, and i'll answer as soon as i can
@paladindarknite thats rather difficult to say, as the ninja were skilled with many weapons, in fact you can use litterally anything as a weapon if you do it right, it mainly depends on what you need the weapon to be ablt to do, like if it needs to cut or smash, be flex ten or solid, distance or close range that sort of thing, if you want a better answer please be more specific
@gungrave2012 The first one is "Enter the Ninja" (1981) starring Franco Nero and Sho Kosugi, the second "The Revenge of the Ninja" (1983) starring Sho Kosugi (the best in the series) and then this "Ninja III - Domination" (1984) also starring Sho Kosugi, he starred in the three movies but his character was not related (he played the baddie in the first and third one, and the good guy in the second), the only similarities beetween the three movies was the ninjas and produced by Cannon Group.
@gstut1 Cool gstut1! Which church in which city? Kind of cool to track down old movie sites and see that they're not always what you expected to see. ;-)
@sexynativebeauty It was. In fact the whole movie was shot here in Phoenix. You can see Sky Harbor Airport when Yamada (Sho) arrives in pursuit of the bad ninja and a few other recognizable landscapes in town places. Bear in mind that was Tempe/Phoenix in the 80s versus what it is now.
@algallego What I've always been curious about is trying to figure out where in town they built the set of the supposed Shinto Temple in the end scene where they are fighting on the hilltops. Anyone know which hills/mountains/peaks locations they were shooting?
Exactly. I saw this before Breakin', so this will always be the definitive Lucinda Dickey movie for me. And I haven't seen this movie in nearly 20 years. I'm 27 and I grew up loving the shit out of this movie. THANK YOU for uploading this Deeinay!!! I'm feeling like "holy shit" right now. Big time nostalgia. It's a goddamn shame this hasn't seen a proper DVD release. I'd buy this movie in a heartbeat.
This ninja guy's awesome: He can sneak around, crush golf balls with his hands, blow up guns with darts, kill people with the air pressure created when he swings his sword around, backflip, stop and lift a golf cart like it's nothing, punch through a car's hood, take more bullets than a Predator, knows the "dry-clothes-fast" ninjitsu, can send his soul out to possess hot girls... I'm really impressed. 80's cheesy ninjitsu surpasses everything else on this planet.
many people who have the ability not easy to die like a true ninja. not die only with a gun or a bomb.
I've seen in the hinterland village of Indonesia. he's like a magician angel mind freak where bodies in pieces - cut but could be revived...:) ,He will not die if hes weapon not destroy (keris).
basically the film is taken from reality and some from fiction.
@hatoriahanzoo Yeah, the part that's reality is taken from fiction and the part that is fiction is taken from reality. You could kind of say it was based on a true story of a ninja who was pissed off at his summer cooling bill in Phoenix and ended up going on an assassination mission to kill all corporate executives whose companies charge high summertime utility rates and those also who spend their entire day at the golf course instead of working.
the question i ask is ,how does the ninja film author want to say about ninjas,are they super mens,or have they more power full than the others humans,on earth?how can some body coming from the under ground and fly like a bird ,and from tree to tree?
welll in actuallity the mind controls the body, hence martial artists breaking cement slabs, guys who are much smaller than me so i think they are saying that ninja's minds (and to a degree, bodies) are stronger than the average mans. now being shot the way he was, that was a bit of a stretch.
What's more amazing is that they were shooting at the Ninja and, if they missed, each other, but not one cop got hit. That means they either hit the Ninja with every shot, or totally missed everything. I find that impossible even for a cop. But then, they can't drive either.
@L0VECHILDD There are a couple of short clipped scenes missing-- for instance when he is atop the squad car he throws some shuriken at the pursuing cops on motorcycles. Also, on the helicopter scene he puts a shuriken on his tabi boot and kicks it into the pilot's head. After the jump from the chopper it crashes behind the hillside with a wimpy explosion ala Cannon Group.
@TeslaDRay Actually, Sho did do the ninja stunt work for this scene. It was Sho during the fighting. You can tell by the tone of his ninja battle cries. Also, they put a heavy outline of eyeliner on Sho's eyes to make him look like the other guy playing the unmasked ninja. If you pause the scene when he comes up out from the dirt you can see it is actually Sho and not the actor portraying the bad ninja, an actor who had no martial arts training other than an impromptu with Sho probably.
@TeslaDRay Actually it is khaki, like the desert Camouflage soldiers use. I remember seeing it in an old Black Belt or Ninja Magazine when I was a kid. I remember rendering a drawing for my little brothers of the ninja crouched with the blowgun from a page of the magazine article when I was a kid.
@ChickenAlliance Remember, ninjas were hired assassins. He was probably sent to kill this rich putz on the golf course along with his entire entourage.
I believe that this ninja person here is Sho Kosugi !!! I believe that his eyes are the same with this person !!! Sho has very characteristic eyes !!!

the question i ask is ,how does the ninja film author want to say about ninjas,are they super mens,or have they more power full than the others humans,on earth?how can some body coming from the under ground and fly like a bird ,and from tree to tree?
TheJaguar5507 1 year ago
@TheJaguar5507
welll in actuallity the mind controls the body, hence martial artists breaking cement slabs, guys who are much smaller than me so i think they are saying that ninja's minds (and to a degree, bodies) are stronger than the average mans. now being shot the way he was, that was a bit of a stretch.

@lala032
"homegirl" wow, haven't heard that expression since 90's, when i was 9. keep up the retro! :-D

What's more amazing is that they were shooting at the Ninja and, if they missed, each other, but not one cop got hit. That means they either hit the Ninja with every shot, or totally missed everything. I find that impossible even for a cop. But then, they can't drive either.

L0VECHILDD 1 year ago
@L0VECHILDD
yeah i posted earlier that i figured it was that way afterall.
TeslaDRay 1 year ago
@L0VECHILDD There are a couple of short clipped scenes missing-- for instance when he is atop the squad car he throws some shuriken at the pursuing cops on motorcycles. Also, on the helicopter scene he puts a shuriken on his tabi boot and kicks it into the pilot's head. After the jump from the chopper it crashes behind the hillside with a wimpy explosion ala Cannon Group.

@INVINCIBLEHEBREW
sho is in the movie but that ninka was not sho.
TeslaDRay 1 year ago
@TeslaDRay Actually, Sho did do the ninja stunt work for this scene. It was Sho during the fighting. You can tell by the tone of his ninja battle cries. Also, they put a heavy outline of eyeliner on Sho's eyes to make him look like the other guy playing the unmasked ninja. If you pause the scene when he comes up out from the dirt you can see it is actually Sho and not the actor portraying the bad ninja, an actor who had no martial arts training other than an impromptu with Sho probably.

@TeslaDRay old ninja, then~
paladindarknite 1 year ago
@TeslaDRay Actually it is khaki, like the desert Camouflage soldiers use. I remember seeing it in an old Black Belt or Ninja Magazine when I was a kid. I remember rendering a drawing for my little brothers of the ninja crouched with the blowgun from a page of the magazine article when I was a kid.

@ChickenAlliance Remember, ninjas were hired assassins. He was probably sent to kill this rich putz on the golf course along with his entire entourage.
