  • in the book they actually had sex,for which her brother apologize for afterwards

  • this was so overly dramatic it's was funny the book is better

  • This movie really makes me sad....the acting isn't horrible but could be better and the person who directed it...needs to be shot for the ending! I remember being so excited to watch this movie and then let down. This is such an intense book and certain parts actually made me cry...this movie? I could actually laugh at how over dramatic some of the acting was >.> I pray there is a remake in the future

  • pause at 1:12 aww cute or abit tooo close??

  • i was really looking forward to the incest :/

  • this reminds me of the beggining of the green hornet when britt is confronted by his dad and his toy gets ripped apart :(

  • is the grandmother has only one dress

  • It's not incest! Btw I would murder that bitch of a grandmother.

  • @libbykime10 In the book it was incest. and i mean TOTAL incest.

  • you gotta think, they did need to fit a whole book into less than 2 hours

  • @MissDancingQueen1993 Kinda but what if 2 sisters were together while bathing, people usually don't have a problem with that BUT would that be "lesbian incest"? 2 people of the same sex can do things with eachother just as easily as 2 people of the opposite sex.

  • @MissDancingQueen1993 In the book there was incest going on BUT I don't think there was in this movie, I mean being together while ones' in the bathtub might look weird but it doesn't mean they are screwing eachother.

  • thumbs up if you see INCEST 4:43- 5:50

  • @kooooopp Washing your siblings back isn't incest. It would be incest if they kissed (or further) while he was washing her back.

  • @ItsCorrineSoScream

Just wait till later....lol. But yeah..it's pretty innocent. I mean they are obvious scared and weak at this moment due to their father's death and their mothers and grandmothers psycho behavior...

  • @heathersnape5 This movie didn't really have anything bad about it though, its just the books that has incest...

  • Fuck, I hope bro and sis get it the hell on!!

  • Incest in the morning - SUPPRESSED MEMORIES!

  • BLOODY BITCH GRANDMOTHER

  • "Don't you won't to go to school"

    "No!"

    Smart kids lol

  • @xRaineDropsx

    *want

  • wow 0 dislikes!!!

  • I LOVE THE SNAIL PART! IT WAS SO CUTE IN THE BOOK!!!!! :D

  • One thing is to let ur brother come talk to you in the bathtub, but does he really need to wash your back...thats creepy

  • @jenifferlopez777 hahah i think its meant to be like a caring gesture, but since theyre older its kinda weird

  • @jenifferlopez777 thats what i was thinking too..sleeping in the same bed at their age..Border of INCEST, dont you think??? Kissing cousins I could stomach a bit more than this kissing brother and sister show!!!..LOL

  • @jenifferlopez777, okay. Take your damn mind outta the gutter. So what? He washed her back. Just cuz their mother and uncle banged doesn't mean they're going to.

  • @Prue305 they actually do in the book though:L.

  • @Prue305 they actually do in the book ,and they go on to live like husband and wife in the book "if there be thorns "and raise cathy 's sons . and also chris and cathy's parent's are half brother and sister

  • @Prue305 Actually in the book Chris rapes Cathy and they get married in the second book

  • @jenifferlopez777 In the book he did much more than just rub her back; he kissed her nipple.

  • I like the narrator, her voice is familiar, it's so soft and nice.

  • To me, I don't see how this is bad acting, the grandmother is intense and the mother almost had me fooled that she was nice. They would have to say the lines as if they were dead and use no body language what so ever. I tried an acting class and it makes me nervous so I give people credit in movies like this. I don't think they should be paid more than other people in jobs, but that's another story.

  • :O Id go tear up all her shit in the attic now lol

  • :O

  • Does anyone know what the name of the song the mother is playing in the beginning on piano?

  • @liltita22 It's part of the film's music score. You can download the soundtrack and the music tune is found in the "The Attic" part.

  • @DeaneShafortock thank you!

  • @DeaneShafortock thank you!

  • omgggg the grandmother if fknn evill, i hate her to deeath. yeah in part 2 she says god sees what you do bad and punishes you, ummm? arent you the one whos the the bad stuff ? cunt

  • @99camilia actually it was "god sees what you do behind my back" haha

  • @amdinunzio1 ohh loll :P thx for telling me

  • @99camilia Indeed, I agree. But people like that (religious grandmother) have an arrogance about them and refuse to see that what she's doing is wrong...not to mention that her and the grandfather put their Corrine and her husband in that predicament, forced them together as they did the grandchildren.

  • 0:54 Narnia's Wardrobe!

  • @IntolerantAtheist1 hahaha, good one.

  • i wanna watch the wiggles also i have the hiccops whill im watchin this so this sucks....

  • a time for killing

  • This isn't such a good movie for Atheists. LOL xD

  • @jazzy102596 I'm an Atheist and this film's freaking hilarious!!

  • anyone know what corrine is playing on the piano?

  • Boo. The books are so much better. And make you THINK more.

  • Yes they were locked in the attic for 6 years the original people but in the book it's 3 and a half year and in the movie one year... lol this movie needs to be remade

  • The name of the book is flower in the attic

  • to people talking about the book you got me wanting to read the book but need to know the name of the book can anyone help me plz

  • @captxena31 are you retarded? First of all, movies usually go by the same name of the book. And secondly, you're on a COMPUTER. You can post 2 comments onto YouTube, but you can't Google it??

  • @captxena31 ....Its "Flowers in the Attic"

  • can someone plz help whats the name of the book i want oread it

  • aww its so sad and cute that the little siblings r asking to go outside or when is their mom gonna visit :(

  • @FlosculousRoo, no she wasn't.... I'm reading the book right now and thats one of the first things I noticed... and she also wears the ring on a chain because she got it when she was 7.

  • @FlosculousRoo yeah because it was worth to much- i can't believe they woukd forget that!

  • Comment removed

  • weren't they arsenic donuts in the book. those are cookies

  • @whatsupitsImari yea they were i remember reading that!

  • Most random line ever: 'I itch!" xD

  • Im sorry but that grandma is a BITCH

  • the grandmother and carrie are the way i imagined but cathy and chris look too old....and i expected cory to be...cuter or something...

  • The grandma is just jealous that Cathy is pretty and she's not.

  • @koooooop well it is in the book in the movie it's only hinted

  • The relationship between cathy and chris is so cute. I ALWAYS wanted a big brother really bad. There like so close. And they look after eachother, and the twins. The grandmother is such a bitch.

  • @MelissaLauraQuinny but i think it is incestous relationship

  • @MelissaLauraQuinny their relationship is incestous. They have sexual encounters.

  • The relationship between cathy and chris is so cute. I ALWAYS wanted a big brother really bad. There like so close. And they look after eachother, and the twins.

  • >_> such bad acting

  • why has it skipped so many parts???

  • I have an attic in my house but no kids. Darn it.

  • what a terrible terrible movie .

  • well the grandmother might have been raised in the same way but yea she is still a bitch

  • ew ew ew incest.

  • The grandmother is a cruel witch. But that mother is HORRID!! She brought the children into her mother's evil clutches. Why thew hell would you take your children to that fuckin prison? You must be pretty selfish to take your kids there.

  • @cittykatluvsyou well she wanted the money and supposedly her daddy's love

  • 8:04 Wow...I could fit through those bars. Surely they could if they tried.

  • i would just squeeze through the bars im that tiny...also, i would go phsyco on everyone! :D

  • @perrywinkle24 everybody can fit threw those bars their no small at all

  • I wish I could really, truly see Jory. I have a crush on a book character! Isn't that sad? Oh, but Virginia made him so loving and sweet! They should remake the movie and the series, but the proper way! I'd be one of the first in line to see them. And it'd get loads of awards and recognition, I can just tell!

  • Lol, it was kind of funny seeing this in 1911 mode. Add this to the end of the address in the bar. &vintage=1911

  • I LOVE those monumentally big houses of old!!!!

  • If you read the books, ALL OF THEM. You find out that Olivia (grand-mother) has been conditioned to think a certain way. She actually feels deeply for the kids, but her religious convictions keep her from being able to accept those feelings.

  • @saphirereflection That's true. I just finished the series and I kind of feel bad for her, although I still hate her. She became very mean and hard when she married Malcom. She wasn't loved by him as she should have bee. And when she first saw them she said it was hard not to love them.

  • @saphirereflection Yes and not to mention that she didn't hide the children because of the will, but John Amos had also manipulated Olivia and Malcom since their own tragedies.. Also, Olivia didn't want Malcom knowing about the children, especially not the girls or his heart would soften towards them.

  • The grandmother Is Cruel, Without a Doubt, Shes Mean, Hurtful, Bitter and Barely Human, But the Mother is Worse than Anyone, Book Especially, She willingly Lied to Her Children, Locked them Away, and Was so Wicked to Little Carrie and Cory that They Died, She Was Truely the Most Horrible Charactor ever Written and She did it all for money, She was Honestly Selfish, Murderous and Content With It all As long as She was Getting what She wanted and She was Truley More awful Than The grandmother

  • I love Carrie! She is just so adorable, book and movie. They could have done better casting for Chris and Cathy though.

  • @AnnabethAdventure48 Oh I know. The Chris character is really bad. his acting stinks

  • cathy & christopher look 30.

  • i thought they were whipped at this part?

  • @MissMissy1997 no. when the grandmother found Chris at the window and she told him to move away and he didn't; that's when she whipped him and then Cathy when she wouldn't stop screaming. I just reread the books and I'm just now watching this mediocre movie. /sighs/ :)

  • @whatevsgrrl15 oh... but im still SOO dissapointed in this movie..

  • It sad because the book was actually based on a true story. When Virginia was a teenager she got sick and went to hospital. Her doctor was a young man that she developed a crush for and he told her when he was a teenager he and his siblings were locked in an attic for years because of greed and fortune.

  • @bubbles4555 where can find true story

  • @bubbles4555 WOW i thought the same thing that it has to be true good to know im not the only one

  • @bubbles4555 :O Are you kidding?!

  • @bubbles4555

Yep 6 years, Virginia lowered the time in the book, but still , awful :(

  • they destroyed such a nice story

  • this mom sucks. HOOWWWWW saddddd

  • Momma you suck.

  • in the end i kinda like the grabndmother the mother is the on who really gets me pissed, well at least in the book she does this movie is NOTHING like the book, what bout the picknet basket? like dont the dounuts come later in the story?

  • Oooooh! Now I HATE that lady! If someone touched something that my mother OR father had given to me before...you know...I Would KIIIILL Them!

  • I would cry like that if my mother gave me something special and someone broke it on purpose. My mom died not my father. So no mean comments saying "It was her father who gave it to her".

  • That's no grandmother, that's a grade-A psycho BITCH!

  • @rachelchunter yeah man i would just kick every door in house right down, but then again i dunno where i would go or how i would survive

  • 1:34 - 1:56 Aaawww that was so cute!

  • It's kind of funny beacause the movie is so good that im not focus on the timing so I get kind of mad and think my computer is not working when it ends. But a comment that came to me was im black and crazy.so is that my problem?

  • It's kind of funny beacause the movie is so good that im not focus on the timing so I get kind of mad and think my computer is not working. But a comment that came to me was im black and crazy.so is that my problem?

  • omg.!! ii woulda fuxed that bitch up.!!

  • @sns21274 I think it's called being a Fundamentalist Christan!

  • I likie the c=book, but I don't think the movie was as good. I hope that they make a remake soon.

  • They haven't got any guts, they should have stormed granny, and locked her in.

  • EVVVVVVIIIIIILLLLLLL 7:17!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5:00 is soo weird

  • seriously the two older brothers look like there in love is discusting!

  • instead of making little dolls and things, how about making some weapons

  • so so stoopid in terms of acting.

  • I really can't understand how mere words and threats can keep someone locked up. If I were the kids I would've already unhinged the door or broke it down with something and run the hell out of there, mother or no mother. Because if my mum would ever do that to me and lock me up, I would NEVER trust her again, no matter how much I loved her, and I would've just leave. If she was capable of abandoning me to the mercy of a crazy grandmother, imagine what else she would be able to do...

  • @akissy Well, actually the kids were SUPPOSED to stay locked up and hidden in that distant room in the mansion until their grandfather dies, so that he won't know that he has four little inbred grandchildren that will make him cut off their mother from his will without a penny...the kids themselves agree to be up there until gramps kicks the bucket, otherwise they'd be living like beggars in the street...

  • @DeaneShafortock I know that, but once they realized they are never gonna get out of there, why do they keep in there? I'd prefer to live as a beggar on the street than maltreated by my own family.

  • @akissy Well actually they don't realize that they're not supposed to be set free ever again until they discovered the plan with the arsenic. At least until before the starvation, they didn't feel the need to escape since they still trusted their mother (Chris, at least) but once their health deteriorated and their mother kept on ignoring them, THEN it was 100% clear to them that their mother no longer cared. Death followed and the discovery of the poison made them decide to escape.

  • I HATE when the grandmother breaks the ballerina music box....its so beautiful...I want one!

  • The bath scene was not even sexual, I don't know what the books say but this scene was clearly an unusual closeness in bro/sis and looked innocent..he wasn't even looking at her, just ranting about escape. If he were interested he would have snatched her out of that tub.

She did seem to be making weird expressions, though..like a woman being laid. Possibly bad acting, though.

In the old days, families did things that would seem strange in the present day.

I suppose I will find out..

  • @SadieMiss you're correct on that, in the older days families did strange things. This modern society is weird. You cannot have a closeness with your brother or your sister because immediately people start to think something else. I've seen that a lot with twins.

  • shit i hate it when brothers knock on the door when im in the tub! let alone wash my back!!!!

  • @babygizmoe i guess you will never be a winner, incest is wincest..... jk

  • they couldnt let 12 and 13 yr old play incest lover in a movie fools the kids that play the brother and sister is over 18 yr old the age they have to be fools its the law

  • I like the book more than the movie.... Chris and Cath are NOT 12 they look like 16 and 18 lol

  • @MissyParamore The movie is crap. Finish the book. It's worth it :)

  • Cathy and Christopher look to old for the age they are supposed to be playing...

  • Comment removed

  • i don't think the point of the movie is that they have incest tendencies, but that the christian grandmother and mother are evil b* who need killed. :)

  • Hi! As you can see i'm a very big fan of V.C Andrews. I'm looking for the moive "Rain" with prequeal included... So if you know where to buy it please e-mail me or comment on my page. Thank you so much!

  • they were doughnuts in the book that poisoned the kids..not cookies!!!

  • If I was them I will be sad and happy that my bother or sister was there

  • lol the grandma was getting ready to lay the smack down when she saw them in those beds

  • Kristy Swanson sometimes reminds me of that annoying chick who played 'Dawn' in the Babysitters Club videos. Eeeee!

  • Kristy Swanson is so pretty!

OMG! I never saw no one so pretty as she!

  • Her knees look like her tits lmfao!

Looks bigger then Katie Price xD

  • Pause at 0:30 and the window next to cathy looks quite 'barrier free' to me...all they'd have to do is break it and get out and theres tiles there. I don't like how in the movie, they don't do propper plans to rob food/mess about or anytihng, this could be a comedy. But tbh the gloomy 'no hope' feeling does set the mood of the drama/horror. :)

  • @haymish1993 They didn't feel the need to escape yet, until they realized their health and life was at risk if they stayed. They agreed with their mother to stay up there until the grandfather dies, so that he won't know about his inbred grandkids thus the mother will inherit his millions.

  • omg

    I can't believe the grandma broke Cathy's music box!!!What a bitch!!!

  • oh please who dosent expect incest to happen when you lock up teenage boy and girl and all they have is eacher other

  • @MsBAMBOO22 I don't.

  • At my opinion it's quite normal , that children , who made bad experiences with their parents , or even became orphans , will stay more close together , than others .

The grandma is kind of a monster , but the mum is just wicked !!

  • find a way past grandmother to help mother? are these kids retarded? these are strong teens, she is an old lady. its called force.

  • @MikeDesadario Excactly. Chris is a big, strong and healty boy, I truly don't understand why he is so passive towards his granny.

  • Comment removed

  • In all reality the grandmother really isnt a baddie except when she beats the children..thats about it...all the incest thats going on is truly evil!

  • @GreekLevendiEllas Well, I would consider it bad when you lock up your grandchildren in a small room, refuse them love and withdraw them from school and any kind of social life. That is planned, calculated cruelty.

  • @MsSarjen

exactly...which is the very reason they should'nt have had the story like that in the first place..in reality if i was the grandmother..i would refuse to have them live in my house and to hell with them!!!

    :-)

  • that little boy has the sweetest face!!

  • Chris's obsession with Cathy is pretty gross.

    (N)

  • THAT GUY REALLY LOOKS OLDER THEN HIS MOM!!!

  • @simonyaqoob

    lol

  • Comment removed

  • I dont get it, she locks them all in the same room but forbids them to sleep in the same bed.

  • @pgy002 The grandmother did in on purpose so that she could be sure the two older siblings would do something "sinful" (like their parents) and justify her belief that they are indeed the "Devil's spawn"...and then proceed to punish and hurt them even more.

  • Chris was really creepy in the books with his obsession with Cathy.

  • kristy swanson is a fucking evil southpaw! good riddance
