  • My sister most likely has this. The only time I've seen her act like a human being (kind, calm, generous) is when she was drunk off her ass.

  • it isnot bipolar

  • it sounds the same as bipolar

  • @calabiyou its similar but the moods arent as extreme, its possible to have both.

  • this sounds like me, and about 100 other people I know

  • can i still have BPD when my parents have never left me?

  • The difference between borderline and schizotypal: borderline is caused by the physical damage of part of the brain, schizotypal is caused by replacement of the gray matter by white. The second difference: borderline (physical damage of limbic area) should be "cured" by psychoanalysis, but this "treatment" for schizotypal is pointless. Both disorders are similar abnormal constructed personality in damaged brain, but only one can be changed by "therapy". Why (if psychoanalysis isn't bullsh*t)?

  • Really good comment, i think one has to find out what's really going on, could be illness, could be not, but making sure you have explored all options and had a thorourgh examination by a team of mental health proffessionals is paramount and not just jumping to conclusions.

  • I don't feel that the actresses that this doctor mentioned have BPD. I think they have DID with presenting alters that may exhibit BPD.

  • BPD was called the diagnosis of the 1980s.

  • This just sounds like Bipolar.

  • @brucinda01 BPD may co-occur with bipolar disorder. (See 02:10 ).

    The diagnostic criteria are different.

  • @brucinda01 It basically is. Iv come to the conclusion that a lot of psychology is bullshit. And it really is. One small reason I think so is cause 3 out of 4 people are misdiagnosed with ADD. I was misdiagnosed & then diagnosed again, but when I re-took the test, I was really into smoking pot, snorting Adderall, having an out of whack sleep schedule, & didn't do anything constructive cause at the time I was a high school drop out. Since then, I went back to school & finished up.

  • @vismundcygnus27 but if you or when you have pms or PMDD, it is that much worse and you ruin your family and then you blame your partner/spouse for the break up.... that's not your feelings, that's your brain too, because your feelings can be fixed later by using your brain to explain to the other person look it , i messed up, my emotions do this and that, i didn't mean that, im goign to get help because that will help us all. im the hurt spouse

  • Good video, informative, with nice imagery.

  • so basically, you can be a female sociopath/narcissist and treat everyone like shit and the mental health system will pity you and say "oh, you poor thing, you have invalidated and abused and you have no skills"... a man just get's tossed in jail... interesting double standard... these bitches are evil... I don't care I was related to one dude... and a restraining order was the only way to keep this bitch away... I am a fag, I don't even like women, I shouldn't have to deal with cunts like this!

  • @SuperMatthewspencer and I have bipolar I disorder so I know all about real mental illness... sorry but personality disorder means it is problem with your personality and character...

  • @SuperMatthewspencer real mental illness? they are all considered mental illnesses, however one deals with more specifically your personality. it is still a mental disorder, and can be very serious.

  • @SuperMatthewspencer Well I think you should walk a mile in my shoes if you don't believe that BPD is a mental illness.

  • now THATS a jew

  • People who think they have suffered in life and don't get this really haven't suffered at all. That or their empathy is non existant.

  • My ex has BPD ...boy that was a crazy ride! lol

  • @Exsugarbabe1 So tell me then where is the line drawn for personally accountability of actions? When someone is out destroying people's lives, they are evil. Its the fruit of evil Wether it be the drunk killing someone in an accident or the rapist, or the manipulator or the...whatever. These bpd's and npd's are labels but they discribe evil selfish distructive people who know damn well what they are doing.

  • @urbrainwashed2 I would normally agree with you but I have a friend who suffers with this and believe me, even though they are aware, the damage which has been done to them earlier in life is far worse than the damage it can potentially cause in relationships they have with people. Its just as well that it is generally understanding people who get it that befriend sufferers.

  • He sounds like Jerry springer

  • I have this along with GAD and panic disorder, I refuse to take my meds, I exercise for 3 hours a day and take many vitamins instead, It works

  • I have Bipolar disorder, BPD, possible Anti social personality disorder, anxiety disorders, and M.E. I don't know how I am still alive.

  • @amyanubis

:) I have Borderline personality disorder, Sever depressive episode without psychotic symptoms, Anxiety disorder and Antisocial personality disorder. I'm 32 and suprised too.:)

I live but I think I'll be alone forever.

  • @maybenotmetheone I have psychosis without my anti psychs. I have been in a relationship for 5 years now. You won't be single all your life, this is my longest relationship yet and he is bipolar too. I'm 27 and he is 44. Your name says it all, you haven't met the one yet :-) Much love xxx

  • @amyanubis

    Thank you! :-*

I had relationships lasting 5 years and an other 6 years, but I always felt alone.. And now I'm alone indeed.

  • @maybenotmetheone They say you can be in a room full of people and still feel lonely, I have experienced that a lot. The thing is people who have had no mental health issues or has cared for someone who is ill, then they just don't know what it's like. Mental health problems cause a lot of people to feel lonely. You feel like nobody understands you at all and you feel like an alien. xxx

  • @amyanubis Go into a room full of people and notice their behavior, independent from your personality. All are sitting on their place. Maybe reading something. In rare occasions they may even talk to a person accompanying them. But almost never with a stranger. You are very much on your own. As is everybody else in the room.

You may want to move to a normal society like Mexico, Italy or an Arab or African country to see what is normal.

  • @wwwtotalitaerde Very true. I went abroad once and came back to the UK and it made me realize the difference, everyone behaved like sheep lol.

  • This a comic video right?

  • I have this..

  • Some people really do want help. I've been married for 2 and 1/2 years and it has been the toughest thing trying to make a relationship actually work. Moments I can't live without him, others I don't care and want to go have sex with complete strangers. I hate manipulating and I hate being so dependent. I don't want to be so scared of myself all the time.

  • There's this girl I like....she's fun, pretty, beautiful, amazing! Her step sister (who's my friend) warned me about her split personality disorder, but I really don't care. Apparently she thinks I'm adorable (me, a normal 8th grade girl) and so one day I want to ask her out. Her step sister also told me that she has schizophrenia (just a little bit), but that won't stop me <3

  • Mental illnesses are technically physical illnesses. Mental illnesses will show on an M.R.I., just as physical illnesses will show on x-rays. So anyone who says mental illnesses aren't real, are are easy to overcome, please do some research.

  • For me the real catch was when at some point in the relationship loving the girl turned into trying to help or save her. And that's when the emotional torment really kicked in. it's impossible to save them, they will just suck you into the black hole of their existence.

  • Incredibly damaged women, and the BPD is damaging beyond belief if you love one of them.

  • MOSTLY WOMEN?

  • @gummynumberone. Stories? The lies, deception and manipulation were overwhelming. I did think I was the crazy one and here I am over a year later without any contact with her and still sorting through the emotional and financial devastation she caused with no end in sight. These people are not sick they are straight up agents of Satan.

  • @urbrainwashed2 I agree. I still have at least mild PTSD from my BPD-ex.. Its nearly two years and my head still hurts. The lies, manipulations, crazy making distortions.. Hell.. And she is still undiagnosed, surrounded by enablers, playing the victim, and probably creating misery for others..

  • @urbrainwashed2 This is a joke, these people are sick, full stop. Nothing to do with Satan.

  • Weed cured my bi-polar and borderline personality. Not the SSRI's the so called experts had me on. 38 years of fucking agony that was fuelled by the biggest drugs cartels on the planet. the mind is a prison until you allow consciousness and inner tuition to guide you. The medical profession is designed to keep you medicated. They wont cure cancer, but they will keep you alive with cancer for as long as possible. it's the same with so called mental illness. massive change is coming. Love=Cure.

  • @VapoVibes but weed has different affects on different people when i smoke i actually have more anxiety and I've cried my eyes out a couple of times while i was high before.

  • %2??? how many women are there?

  • I'm a guy and I have BPD. What I'd give to be able to maintain a single path in life.

  • @PatrickRin You are not alone and you will find inner peace.

  • This guy pisses me off. He has just outlined things that 100% of people could experience on a bad day. So, he wants us all to run to the doctor and say: "Oh, no I have BPD!".. and the doctor will say: "Oh, ok, here's the BPD drug". Then, you go off and blow your head off, because you become a manic depressive, and then when you're dead everyone will say: "Oh, poor BPD sufferer and substance abuser", same with ADD and ADHD and all this crap we get told. I'm sick of these clowns.

  • @FreedomWorkShop - Thumbs down. this is all bull crap.

  • @FreedomWorkShop - I have borderline smash the screen in with my face, if I have to watch a video like this ever again!

  • @FreedomWorkShop your wrong clearly no nothing of the mind, psychology or biology

  • @gummynumberone You're.

  • this aplys to my husband.

  • i think being nuts has made has my life more interesting tbh, with the pills "normal" feels wrong and boring lol but yeah its its been a bastard so far

  • I have BPD and it has ruined my whole life... at least I feel betterwhen I think of it not being me.

  • @MultiShotgunguy wanna fight? lol

  • in my mind you are speaking about all capitalists... lol

fix the environment causing these disorders... and stop making money on pharmaceutics...

Pasteur corrected himself by saying this:

"the germ is nothing, the terrain is everything"

    so ladies and germs...

fix a broken world and these ailments will cease to be.

  • If I'm always feeling scared alone dead suicidal hopeless useless in life love an ex for almost a year what dose it mean ? :'(

  • More i do research on this the more i think i have it :/

  • @JesicaYesicaRosa That's what the cult of Psychology combined with YouTube and any other social media is all about. It's goal is to make you feel like you really have a problem or something's wrong with you when there's nothing wrong at all. These quacks are just in it for the money. Infact they're more fucked up in the head than we are. They mollest children, lie, steal and cheat on their spouses. Then, they stand behind religion and psychology to make themselves look respectable.

  • @poignant4insights Well one, i know something is wrong with me and i either have BPD or Anxiety and Depression. I already take Lexapro for depression but it's not helping that much 2) I actually want to be a psychologist when i'm older to help people that are going through the same shit as me 4) my mom and step dad are both therapist. I honestly believe that you have no clue about what you are talking about and are obviously ignorant to the subject.

  • @JesicaYesicaRosa Yeah, you're right. You do have issues. Go pray to your invisible god who doesn't exist.

  • @poignant4insights I'm agnostic.......

  • @JesicaYesicaRosa Do you have any nude pics?

  • @JesicaYesicaRosa he does exist

  • @redbutterflynine In your belief, love :p It's to early to get into a debate on religion. besides, this is a mental health video. It has not subject of religion on here.

  • @poignant4insights ha you cant be fore real.you actually believe that? you are a psycho.for real

  • @gummynumberone I became a counselor so I could tell rape victims it's their fault.

  • risky sex: i wish. forever alone :(

  • The only thing that works on BPD is an all out exorcism ritual lasting a year, or good old tar-and-feathering....

  • @tinian33 yep.. or put them on a cruise ship, in a steel cage, gagged.. so they are unable to hurt or manipulate others anymore..

  • Spoiler alert: doctors overuse BPD diagnosis.

  • I fell in love with a girl who had this, I didn't know at first, I was in a living hell and wanted to kill myself. Be careful who you get involved with. Wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

  • @urbrainwashed2 so did i...i feel your pain.she nearly convinced me i was the crazy one....so glad i got out of that unscathed.virtually....you have any stories?

  • @urbrainwashed2 Amen. I have been through the storm as well. A roller coaster ride to hell. These women are beyond crazy, and they are EVERYWHERE>

  • People who don't have mental illness don't understand it and it sucks. I wish everyone had to suffer from one for at least a year so they know how hard it is to cope. These comments are ridiculous. Mental illness is very real, and people need to understand that.

  • @EvyGoesRawwr well said 100%.

  • @EvyGoesRawwr The fact is, even though you have time to thing and make a comment, people with BPD make rediculous statements that draw criticism and ire of the reader. Like you just did. I wont explain how to you since that is the reaction you are looking for.

  • I honestly think i have this.....

  • @mumenschantz "confident" and "pissed off" lol

  • Why do I have to be in this 2 %. Yes after 47 years I still have no idea who I am.

  • @russochristine1 I think that's fairly normal -- granted that you know your naturalistic needs and wants.

  • one important thing to remember if you beleive everything a doctors tells you then you will think and believe in what you are being told. Remember they can and are often usually wrong about symptoms of mental problems because these symptoms are things all of us experience at some point in life. you really have to question the accuracy in their analysis most of the time. DOn't belive in what sombody else considers.

  • @210482fmj Or..Perhaps, if supernaturalism is true, then psychology doesn't work.

Since psychology is dependent on naturalism.

Either way, what you are describing is the "Placebo effect". It's basically where one believes something to be true, based on something they hard -- however irrational it may be.

  • Sounds like any girl whose PMS-ing. I'm sure I'm like that once in a while! It's called moodswings. All these mental diseases are just excuses now-a-days, ADD, BPD, so on... they never were an issue for centuries before today... People have a hard time coping with anger, stress, or a hyper child or whatever it is, and just put a label on it so they can take drugs for it. This is ridicules!!

  • @maria13231323 I suffer from BPD and no, it's not like PMS at all. People with mood swings don't cut or burn themselves. ADD is also very real, I don't have ADD but I have ADHD and it's a nightmare. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to not be able to focus. I'm 20 years old I am not a child and medication has saved my life. If you don't know what you're talking about, just don't say anything. It makes you look ignorant.

  • @maria13231323 PMS-ing girls don't wake up in the hospital because they downed a fifth of vodka after being rejected by a guy. They're not taken to the ER and put on suicide watch after doing too much damage while self-harming. With BPD, the fear of abandonment is suffocating. You're happy one moment, terribly depressed and anxious the next. You feel evil, and empty, and hopeless. I'm 21 and have only just begun treatment. Please don't belittle the struggles of the mentally ill. It's ignorant.

  • @vismundcygnus27 Thank You for your honesty.I'm sorry for your pain. The good news is that people actually get better after a few years of therapy.By the time you are 25-27 you may find that your world is happy and secure.I have Bipolar disease and I am working at a Treatment Plan that is helping me become stable for the first time in my life." Recovery Takes Time " :0)

  • @maria13231323 - I'm a man with BPD so I don't PMS. If you feel a little down now and then does that mean you can relate to serious depression and mental illness and that it's not real or much, much worse for other people? People "centuries ago" just killed themselves or were shut away or imprisioned in mental hospitals - what do you know? Please TRY to think outside yourself and imagine that your own little isolated experience in the world is not everyone's. Shame on you.

  • I honestly don't know how this differs from the main depression symptoms or any other "personality disorder". This is just a new label according to this video.

  • Risky sex..Nah I have no sex life at all no girls want a guy who is crazy

  • @CosmicDestroyer99

risky sex refers to girls more than boys. Girls can get sex like nothing.

  • I have that ? is that only me ?? help!! i feel isolated!!! lol

  • The whole world is nuts or what !!!

  • @onsenfoudunom1 just a part of it.. lol

  • @mumenschantz I swear some day there is going to be a mental illness where a person can't pick their nose with the right hand.

  • @misspinkpunkykat

There is and it's called Obsessive Compulsive Disroder

  • ... I might have this... i cut myself and am recless... have moodswings... theres other stuff too but i'm bored...

  • @MegaZazaa Excuse me... but what? "I'm bored?" What are you implying? that you cut or have moodwings because of boredom? Please elaborate because I honestly do not understand this "boring state" you suffer under.

  • @kapanihan That's the thing... I don't even know what it's about... I was really excited a moment ago... but now I'm not.

It's very odd, but I don't think that the cutting has anything to do with boredom... oh god, I'm bored again...

  • @MegaZazaa I really believe that you don't need this "Mental health Guru" to label you with any diagnostic. You, yourself know best with what's "wrong" with you. There really isn't anything exciting about being diagnosed with any mental illness. I've had my share on experience with that.

I used to cut myself, so I know how you feel. But I still don't know what you mean with "being bored". Dissatisfaction with your life? Any goals you're working at to achieve? That's usually what keeps us alive.

  • Proper teenage saturday night: Drink, party, have sex.

My teenage saturday night: Self diagnose 20000 mental health illnesses and have an early night.

  • @xXShockSetsInXx hhah im right here with ya bro. im the farthest thing from a (normal) teenager.

  • how ironic that Winona is 'suspected' when she played a girl with Borderline Personality in Girl, Interrupted.

  • I remember this stuff thank god i took abnormal psychology

  • A wild snorlax has arrived

  • Out of the many doctors and therapists I've been to, this is the first one I've run across who said being trans* could in any way be linked to having BPD. So um, I'll take that with a grain of salt. (Yes, I'm trans* and have BPD.)

  • People always have "borderline" personality disorder, but I've never seen anyone with "full-blown" personality disorder.

  • @PompousPreacher that doesnt make sense. borderline is not "on the borderline of a personality disorder".. it is a full blown personality disorder. It means, on the borderline of sanity.. cause borderlines are crazy. Actually most of them are absolutely nuts.

  • I loled when she said mostly women :D

  • Please do not take the advice of people who are not professionals,i.e anti~psychotics being toxic I know if you are troubled its nice to believe that coming off prescribed medication is ok,especiallly if you are getting side effects. But I have seen many people who come off these drugs without advice from their doctors become ill again.See your Doctor first.

  • I was diagnosed with this not long ago, but I've had no idea who I am for a very long time :( I don't even fully understand it. I don't know what the personality I used to have was before I became so severely depressed and developed BPD...

  • this guys suggests going to see a mental health professional immediately ! Sounds like he's the one with impulsive issues. Then what , Doctor? You put me SNRI's or SSRI's or antipsychotics that have to be tapered off of in the event one has to cease taking this toxic crap. All of these drugs within the psych profession do much more harm than good over the long haul of life. Best case scenario: If you must take any of the suggested psychotropics please limit your intake period to one year.

  • "Hi, I am not a real doctor, but I do play one on tv."

  • sometimes i just wanna drive 120mph & slam into a car head on, cuz i'd survive it without a seatbelt too, not cuz i wanna die but because i really believe id survive it, i think thats more long lines of a manic episode.

  • I was 'diagnosed' with BPD at 13... Everyone thinks it's so horrible! But it's really not bad.

  • @kynnkayy420 were abouts are you from can i ask?

  • @kynnkayy420 Wow that's a really young diagnosis! most of bpd sufferers aren't diagnosed until early adulthood (myself included). I'm sorry that you've discovered it so early but also I guess you have plenty of time to learn to manage it :)

  • If yr involved or living with someone with BPD and would like to be able to deal with it better I recommend you both to learn NVC (Non Violent Communication).

Do a search for "The Basics of Non Violent Communication 1.1" (you can skip past the song...) and spend an hour watching it and related videos.

Without it I would've killed my marriage.

Remember that even if the person with BPD is "the crazy one", it DOES take two to tango...

  • You present Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, Courtney Love, Angelina Jolie, Winona Ryder and Lindsay Lohan as examples for borderline personalities. As a psychologist and specialist for borderline I want to tell you, that these persons all suffer depression as their main illness and NOT BORDERLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Depression is also often connected with alcohol and drug abuse, like borderline. I hope you will delete that video immediately. It is a shame! It seems like you don´t know much about b

  • How is a man who cannot control how much food goes into his mouth, goind to give accurate advice about controlling mental health. Over eating is as bad as over spending, over fucking, over working, etc

  • @iloveknitting1 because therapists are usually crazy. however, he can still diagnose and help others for problems that dont involve compulsive eating lol

  • omg o.o. I never knew what BPD was before I watched this video, but I think I may have it...

  • lol did anybody notice that the first image of the video where it lists the symptoms is a map of Europe? France= Impulsive actions, Germany= Unstable moods, Poland= Chaotic relationships

  • @peacemaker181 hehe

  • @miissmiaa Mapofmates is a great place to find other people who we can relate to. Another good idea is to sign up for a Bpd forum.

  • I don't have anywhere near BPD, this is very interesting to me.. this whole mental illness classification world

  • I'm just a girl... Interrupted

  • @Love13Makeup This is funny. I think I laughed even harder considering Boy Interrupted is on TV right now.

  • I agree! You guys should come and talk to us other bpd sufferers on MapOfMates!

  • My wife had BPD and she attacked me on numerous occassions. I was forced to subdue her which resulted in my arrest for assault. I think BPD women should be locked up to protect normal people. They are not safe to be around.

  • @mickey0667 You wanna know the thing that I don't get is? Why are these personality disorders considered an illness or a disease. What if your wife killed you, ya know? Then if that happened then that's when it stops being an illness. I have to agree much with RebirthLunatic. My dad and I had a conversation about it one night. My dad dealt with the same thing from my mom and she did the same shit happened.

  • @mickey0667 i know right? my ex-gf is on eHarmony now. God help her next victim

  • 2:33 the guys face ,lolol

  • @Groomboy47 I have BPD, and I understand where you're getting that anger from, but I would really appreciate if you didn't categorize everyone with BPD to be such terrible people.

  • i knew coming to youtube videos was a bad idea for this particlur area. TURN BACK lol (seriously)

  • While celebrities do make easy targets, don't you think it's unethical to imply that some people may or may not suffer from a mental disorder without even having met them? What purpose does that segment of gossip in your video serve?

  • wow some really nasty people who have NO understanding what it feels like atall.

  • French: Impulsive Actions, "The Germans are coming?!?! DO SOMETHING QUICK! I Know, Surrender!"

Germans: Unstable Mood, "Well, we took France, and Poland, I dont know how I feel about all this."

Poland: Chaotic Relationships. "I HATE YOU GERMANY DONT INVADE ME! I love you germany! Dont kill me! Hi Russia! Welcome! Oh your not here to liberate us? I HATE YOU!!!!"

  • Bpd fellows, come and join us other sufferers at mom (mapofmates . com )!

  • You Sir, should consider the fact that issues in people's lives such as adoption, and the fact that our society is very "feminised" ; should be part of your psychological assessment of these people. It is one thing to go by what the textbooks taught you; but, it is another to be proactive, by attending to contemporary issues and "side effects" of our dysfunctional socitety. Please be on the "good guys" team. :)

  • This fat fuck needs to go run a mile or two, then I might believe what's coming out of his mouth.

  • ok i have bpd,im a male its supposedly unusual for a male to get it but, with the mile long lists of physical and mental abuse from various situations in my life my core personality is non existant - the main thing is idk who i am, i choose to have limited contact with friends, and try to control what i should say or any psychosis i get from this. i am a truelly horrible person sometimes and i cant control that, but for the most i just try to be like a machine, what i cant control is feeling

  • @51n777z0h4r interesting

  • with all that I know I consider myself A stupid man but these youtube post always make me feel like a genius

  • projection and projective identification is nasty

  • You have to love how we as a society has just labelled being an asshole as a mental disorder.

  • @xlar54

Well.. If that's true you may be the worst illness ever..

  • @xlar54 Soon they'll come up with a disorder to explain you being an asshole.

  • @TheWolowitz @meeg2005 I don't have BPD...so i have nothing to apologise for. Unlike you pricks who go around verbally attacking ill people you don't know. It IS an illness according to the world health organisation, and therefore, it is EXACTLY the same as having a go at people with cancer, diabetes or more relevantly tourettes syndrome. People need help, and compassion not to be demonised. For the record sweeping judgements and black and white thinking is a BPD symptom...you better get checked

  • @samacoustapunk oh yeah, if someone with BPD had a "Go" at your face with a baseball bat, and then acted like nothing happened, and blamed you for it, I doubt you'd feel the same way. can't you see the difference??

  • borderlines generally refuse any help, and tend to never admit they are in any way at fault for their abusive, manipulative, and crazymaking behaviours and distortions..Most borderlines refuse therapy and will continually place the blame on others for their own assholic ways. this is why therapists tend to avoid borderlines in droves.. Borderlines are abusive people who can easily destroy lives, and NOBODY has the right to emotionally abuse another, personality disorder or not.. BPD is horrible

  • google richard chase and see what he did when his meds were stopped and find out if you can excuse him or not

  • @MrSpemat exactly

  • A lot of the people posting on here appear to suffer from CBD....Cuntish Behaviour Disorder. The treatment involves crack.
