This is a very good analysis of the recent conservative crackup. I would say he should have worked his way into the discussion the disaster of Buckley having marginalized good conservative folks during the 50's and 60's. Buckley did his fair share of damage in his lifetime to conservativism by not allowing for a greater coalition. There could have been a much broader coalition w/ libertarians if it weren't for him. As a libertarian and conservative, Im no fan of Buckley.
