  • the code is onefree and its still valid

  • I was not a big leaker but I found the lansinoh breast pads the best as well. I also used the Lansinoh milk storage bags too and I never had one rip or break. Loved them!!!

  • Those were my favorite as well. They weren't thick, so you couldn't see them through my shirt. My daughter is almost 4 months now, and I don't leak anymore, so I don't need them.

  • Let us know how the belly cast goes. We bought one fromm Babies R Us, but I haven't had a chance to do it yet.

  • I agree I only could use those same nursing pads.

  • Great info but the qualiy of the video is so bad. I can marely make anything out.. You need a better lighted area

  • I always wanted to do a belly cast but i never got around to it. But if you dont want your nipples to show. Where pasties.

  • Did a cast of my sister when she was prego. She wore a strapless bra to get more of a unaboob look rather than naked look. The KEY that I found from info on the internet - wear a tshirt that you can through out after. Then you don't have to worry about sticking to your skin and ruining the bra that is underneath. You will still get the detail. Contact me for pics of my sisters or other questions. - Dena

  • I agree 100% those gerber breast pads are complete crap I only tried them because they were on sale, now I know why they were on sale lol... I love the Lansinoh ones they are great!

  • hey i had talked to u about my daughter not breastfeeding well she was born jan 10th. well we found out why she wouldnt breastfeed.... im pregnant again lol.. the lactating consultant said that when the pregnancy hormone set in it made the milk taste funny to her. so we got pregnant at 7 wks postpartum.. maybe this kid will breastfeed better :)

  • I heard that when we spoke to a lactation specialist that once we did fall pregnant she would probably stop due to the taste, so I guess that one is actually true uh??? lol Wow! I bet that was some surprising news but yet at the same time relief to know it wasn't something you were doing wrong for why she wouldnt' nurse. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

  • i know you have tried a lot of different breast pads and i agree with you the lansinoh ones are awesome but my husband picked up this other brand one day by mistake. they are johnson disposable nursing pads, i love them! i swear they are the same quality as the lansinoh but cheaper. i was using the gerber ultra thin ones for a while and they were fine for around the house but i couldnt go out for any extended period of time cause as soon as my milk let down that pad would be soaked in secs!

  • You can just put plastic wrap over your bra for the belly cast....That is what I have heard others say....

  • Those are my staple breast pads too. After nursing 2 kids exclusively and never using formula, my boobs are hard working ladies..so I know what you mean about the leaking.

  • Thank you so much for the product advice... it's so helpful! I'm blind when I buy anything so your guidance is appreciated!

This is probably a dumb question but how do you recommend defrosting/heating the breast milk once it has been frozen in the bag? I've been stuck on this one...

I hope you start feeling better soon! Sucks being sick & pregnant!

  • The hospital I had given birth at actually gave me a fridge magnet on how to long milk stays good for at different temperatures, and how to defrost it as well. I HOPE they give these out to every1 b/c IT WAS MUCH NEEDED! You warm the milk the same way you would anytime needed -warm faucet water.. but u dont want to use "hot" water b/c it kills all the good stuff in breast milk if I remember correctly.

  • Yeah, I hope so! I will look for something like that at BRU too... thank you! I was stuck on that one (-:

  • I don't know if you tried them or not, but I LOVED ~Lilypadz~ reusable nursing pads, they were awesome and I only had to buy them once. I would highly recommend them, I think target carries them and they have a website. I agree, the gerber ones are horrible and I soaked through my shirt once while grocery shopping!

  • the belly cast is a lot of fun to do, you should do it with your partner so you dont miss spots and put plastic wrap over your bra so you dont get nipple imprints and put petroleum jelly over your skin or the cast will stick to your little hairs all over your body and it hurts lol i know i for got to do it good luck hope it turns out !!

  • Maybe use a disposable breast pad while you're casting your body... It may work.. Just an idea.

  • If you dont want to ruin a bra or get it dirty put on Pasties AKA: nipple tape. Umm i believe a belly cast is just like paper mesche. Good luck i think it will only take one person from the videos i have seen but its up to you on how fast you want it done. Goodluck with the cast. Are you going to paint it?

  • Do those have the stuff on the outside that keeps them from leaking? I always used those Gerber ones and they leaked too, but they were just pads, not anything like the outside of a pad wrapper on the back of them. AND no it's not that your an idiot because i could NEVER EVER pump right into the bag, it always leaked out, i always had to use the bottles they gave you to pump, lol And that peri-bottle was the BEST! It did help with the pain!!! LOVE the blanket too!!! I love that pump too!!

  • ware a bra coverd in plastic wrap thats what my friend did turned out awsome :)

  • wow the hospital where i had my daughter had these really nice cloth pads that were waterproof. i didnt really bleed too bad so i took two of them home and washed them and used them. I used them when i didnt want to go and change her diaper in her room i'd lay the pad on the floor or couch and didnt have to worry about messing them up. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!

  • OMG its like flu season over again!

    everyone is sick..ugh

    hope you get better!

are you going to make a Vlog for this week?

  • God forbid put lots of oil on you before you put the plaster on your belly, or you'll be hammering it off and it will hurt. DONT FORGET!!!

Hope you get better soon. =)

  • Mimi maternity. But the destination maternity here in my city has a pregnancy spa and they do belly casting there for you. They have a bunch of samples on the floor and they are AMAZING!!!! You can't see the nipples or anything but they look great. They also sell casting kits on their websites and if they look anything as good as the ones in the store they'd be a good pick :o)

  • My daughter is 2 weeks old and I LOVE the Lansinoh products... when I started breast feeding her the Lansinoh lanolin for nipples helped sooth them soooo much. I also bought the storage bags for when I introduce her to the bottle (which I just did today and it went really well- yay!) I have the gerber disposable "ultra thin" breast pads and I really like those too!!! Not sure if you have a destination maternity store near you- It's like a combo store of Motherhood, Pea in the Pod and....

  • I was told that when you do the belly cast, that you are supposed to wear a bra (if you dont want your nipples showing) and then put some plastic wrap over your bra. so you dont get it dirty or anything

  • Oh def. little by little!!!! Must less stressful and easier on the pocketbook. U could do what we did... EVERY WEEK go buy SOMETHING that is an essential ONLY! Whether it cost 5 bucks or 1,000 bucks, regardless of what is going on u could always afford at least a 5 dollar essential item.

  • I am the exact same way with the pads!!!! I LOVE THOSE!!!!

  • you can put those nipple stickers on.. that would probably help

  • Nipple Stickers? Do explain please...

  • I've seen those at walmart in the bra section. It's looks like a round band-aid (lol) and they're supposed to cover your nipples. I think they're used a lot with swim suits or elegant dresses that you can't wear a bra with. It basically just hides the pointy part. hehe.

  • take over the nipples? OUCH lol, i'd do wrap like a wrap around your boobs, but that might smash them down some for the band, otherwise gauze under table for the nipple part so the tape isnt on it

  • Super great video girl! Thanks so much! i just orders an udder cover and got it for free just pay s&h! We found out yesterday were having a baby boy! :) Hope your feeling great!

  • So the ONEFREE code still works? Awesome! CONGRATULATIONS ON JOINING THE BLUE TEAM!!!!!!!! So much fun :)

  • hey lucy! they make nipple covers that people wear when they dont want to wear a bra or have problems with nipples sticking out through their bra. i have seen them in the shape of a flower. i believe i seen them at target...cant remember..sorry! or do what xjerseysxpoisonx said and use tape!

  • Thanks! Do u know round about how much they are? I don't want to spend too much as I probably won't use them again

  • i TOTALLY agree with the lansinoh breast pads and storage bags, i also tried every other brand because i was a MASSIVE leaker too but we always went back to lansinoh, i also took EVERYTHING home with me from the hospital LOL

  • Well hell, you pay FOR EVER SINGLE THING u use at the hospital plus more.... I think Joel emptied out our hospital room, just by looking at all the stuff we have today still (like the gloves). haha I asked him about that last night, he said that was for when he had to apply ointment to me. Smart Idea. I used them when I didn't have time to wash my hands and my daughter needed ointment.

  • well when my friend did her belly cast she used two bandaids on each nipple and it worked great

  • When I was pregnant I soaked through SO BAD too. It was really emarassing! Haha.

AND OH my goodness! I want to know his name so bad! hahaha! It's driving me crazy!

  • Getting the little samples prior to buying full boxes is a really great idea- everyone hates forking out big money for something that is useless!

"My Mommys Milk"- thats really cute! Its the little touches that make you smile isnt it?

RE: belly cast- i wuld use those little nipple covers you can buy in underwear stores... Also, you wuld def. need another person to apply the plaster strips on2 ur body, it wuld b way 2 hard 4 u 2 do alone i think. I wantd 2 do 1 w/ K but he cam 2early :(

  • Tape or Band-Aids will work. Band-Aids are little easier on the skin, especially around the nipples. Gauze w/tape will also work. :) Hope that helps- the belly cast is such a great idea. Good luck, look forward to seeing the finished product!

  • River is a really unique name, very nice, just unique.

  • it is really important that you sit still and let your hubby do it. Ours came out fine with just my husband doing it but you can use a 3rd person if you want. I would personally get some more plaster of paris bandages (you can get these from any local art and craft store. As if you have a huge bump there might not be enough. Look up some of the vids on Youtube for ideas. Hope this helps xx

  • OH WOW, Another great tip! Thank You so much!!! I have to go there soon to get some frames to decorate so, I'll def. pick up some supplies for the cast as well.

  • You do the belly cast naked. Use petrolium jelly on your bump and boobs (tape over your nipples if they stick out) Make sure you apply a really thick layer as it will help your belly cast come off easier when dry.

  • I love that brand of breast pads also. I leaked alot too and these were the only ones that i didnt leak with.

  • the especially for mom breast pads, did u get those at babies r us? i used lansinoh breast pads with patrick and they were awesome. also the breast bags by them. :D i saw that site for the uddercovers let me know if u like it. we were gonna get that as well.. maybe tape ur nipples for the cast..

  • LOL took a while to recall what a nursing cover is. Lucky kids they get monogrammed pillows. Wish I could get some for future kids. I'll have to use the friend. Neat stuff and gadgets gonna get all those one day. Aww thanks Joel you're so sweet. Just mold and cast the the belly area and screw the boobies.

  • band aids for the nipples. there r some vids on youtube. some girls wear a bra. i casted with my hands holding my belly. turned out cute n different from the others

  • Oh Duh! I should have thought to look on youtube for some instructional videos on it. GREAT IDEA!!!!!

  • My friend did a belly cast and she put tape over her nipples so that they would be flat and it worked really good. They also decorated the cast after it dried and her husband and their other children all put there hand prints in paint on the cast as well it turned out awesome and added such a personal touch.

  • hey i did one when my sis was pregnant it is a two person job 3 if u want someone to take pics. make sure u put something down because it can be a mess and put petroleum jelly on the area being done so it wont stick.u can u gauze so ur nipples wont show hope this helps
