wow it's like a 'back to the future' type experience. I used to drive in these streets with my owner-type jeep. Amazing 'dance between vehicles and pedestrians'. I'm sure you are now experienced in driving there. I showed this to my friends here in Saskatchewan and they say it looked scary. It's in contrast to the drive-by videos I make where I am.
@g1cast --- I could'nt drive there, my girlfriend was driving her car and I was taken the videos. I live in Montreal, Canada and like you I'm not used to that king of driving. If you're a filipino now living in Canada, you understand.
@AHeroux51 I understand. moved from Manila to canada in 97. took me 3 tries to pass the driving test in edmonton. Its two different worlds of driving style. In Manila it is interesting during christmas seasons with all the malls along main roads. I used to bring my copy of readers digest to read during traffic jams.
Wow very nice thank you.. Are you a filipino? .. I miss the philippines... And by watching videos like this makes me feel like im already driving around the country but makes me miss the country so much.. If ever you guys plan on going to fairview or somewhere near.. Id be very happy if you record your trip.. Haha :) anyway thank you very much! Looking forward on watching another video like this from you!
@vicungasiss --- Thank you for watching my video of Manila. I'm french canadian from Montreal, Canada, and I had an affair with a filipina of my age, so, I made the trip twice and live there 3 months all together, cant forget. We were living in San Juan City. Watch my others, there's around 55 videos from The Philippines.
Regarding upload times. The other day I uploaded a short (10 second) video to YouTube , showing some chicken tikka cooking on my stove, and it took about 15 MINUTES !! Do you know of some trick to speed up my upload times ?
@peetieyou --- It took about an hour to upload this video. I have fast internet on Videotron and I use Google Chrome for the internet explorer, more fast for upload to Youtube.
Hello André. I have never been to the Phillipines, but I must say I was lulled by the music and the slow but very smooth drive around parts of Manilla. Your driver did a good job keeping things smooth. I can tell that you are very much at home there with your intimate knowledge of so many streets, kind of like I am in places in Switzerland. I am amazed at the length of your video, and wonder how long it took you to upload ! I will continue this in a follow-up message, right away.
@peetieyou --- I used Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 to edit this video. I had to stabilize each scene with the software stabilizer (the best) and the music is also from this software too. I was living in Manila for 3 months, so I know the names of the streets that you can watch on Google maps. My girl friend was driving her car that you can see her at the end of the video «Traffic on Quezon Ave & Gregorio Araneta Ave, Quezon City, Philippines» in my uploads.
