Not putting them down, by any means, but the overall look reminds me more of a TV show with decent SFX, like the Lois and Clark Superman show. With that in mind, it'd be cool to see these hooded mutants eventually appear in a show... maybe something with music, but no dialogue to maintain the atmosphere.
