I think this version is so much better than the 'official' version... but I can see how it is less generally applicable to everyone who listens and more applicable to Blunt specifically. I hear this one and feel "wow, he's been through some serious stuff". I identify, but the focus is specific to him. But with the official version, I (and everyone else, apparently) feel "he NAILED it, I have done and felt the exact same things, and he has put them into words better than I could".

This song is exactly the right length to listen to when I drive my 2 year old son to kindergarten. As a result he's heard it many, many times and joins in on the Oooh oooh oooh oooh oooh bits. Sometimes he starts ooooh'ing when we're in the car going somewhere else which means it's time to play it.

I can't think of many songs I'd rather have him grow up listening to.
