its not as bad as people are claiming and that will not blow up your house I work as a Utility inspector and we inspect meters if anything all you may need to do is just simply call your local gas company and just complain that your meter is leaking on the Ell union they will fix that in like 30 mins

this is not gas lighters work out how much comes out of a 1 inch pipe at say 1psi the pressure coming out make you think just look at a hole in a tyre .

it s ture i have been a gas fitter for 30years gas will find its way in and with the right mix of air it will go up ,it is not diluted

yes people do leave burners on and some don't go up nat gas is lighter than air ,propane is not it sinks to the ground don't need mythbusters have work with the stuff for years ask any gas fitter ,look at the range fof gas ignition and see for your self

@gaslight55 You may be a gas fitter but you can not properly write a paragraph. You should learn how to use Capital Letters, and punctuation so we know when a sentence starts, and ends. Or at the very least, have enough space between your sentences so it shows the end and the start. Try it, and see for yourself, yourself.

It can't blow up your house if it's leaking outside, just blow away in the wind..

And even if it was leaking indoors, the house would have to be perfectly sealed and maybe more than a month for that small of a leak to accumulate to get a air/fuel ratio to even be close enough to explode. That doesn't even look like enough gas to even keep a pilot light lit.

All it would do is cost you (a very small) amount of money

About 6 months ago me and my friends were messing around and we broke the gas meter, it started leaking the whole pipe busted. we called the gas guy and 911, like 4 fire trucks came and some police cars. it was scary o.o. my heart was pounding. bad times

oh yes it can that leak is big and i it goes all the time gas and will find its way in along pipe line cable ducts , that leak left would only take short time to explode you evcatate at 20% lel it will cost more than just a small amount , your house of your life

It's natural gas, NOT oxygen. Even if the home somehow had a draft on the lines of a stiff breeze in the home and was sucked in, it's completely diluted! If this was true gas stoves would be illegal from the amount of people each year that leave a burner unlit.

watch a mythbusters or two, like where they had to use a few dozen bug bombs in a very small home and open flame just to get it to blow or even the one where they blew the glass out of a car with lighters, it only took about 400 of them.
