good steps but you know what...looking at your hoses it's bout time to replace them but i agree knowing the direction of the water flow is important specially if you have a system like mind that have a heater core valve when replacing those you show need to know which way to install it...not bad

Wow worked a treat ! I owe you a pint Dave ended up costing me £1.99 took stage 2 a bit further used bleech with lime scale remover one local garage charged me £72 just to tell me heater core was blocked (Mitsi Shogun) £350 for parts plus labour sometimes the interent is so usefull thanks again form Yorkshire England

Ok first off oven cleaner some ones !! Hitn that pipe a ll hard when your heater core is clgd empty out all ur anti freez and fill it up with white vinegar and let it sit for a day and run it in Ur cars rditor for a day thn flush it with a hose and repeat if needed

yup it is ether going to blow it out or blow up the heater core and you only end up with coolent in side the car heater box..lol, yup it has happened to me a few time, funny what 150 LBS air will do, even 20LBS of air presser will do in a copper core

I was kinda of hoping Dave that you had a detailed video on relacing a core--on those cars where you have to pull back the dash... There is a pick tool now, sorta like an icepick - the business end is folded 180 degrees (crochet hook?). You use it to remove a stuck hose end. I insert a smaller dia hose into the heater hose to make drainage easier. One of those HVAC condensate hoses sometimes fits snugly and work great! You should mention caution if the core may leak the bleach etc...

just tryed this and it work fucking awsom 1000% saved me $400 for a new heater core and they are not easy to find for an 87 jeep comanche the crap that came out was nasty red rusty shit had to fushit 2-3 times but worked perfecty the people that say bad things about u should be shot and pissed on becouse you'r fucking smart and just like the rest of us just trying to have a good time and save a buck or two keep the vid's coming thanx
