Then why did NATO with pride claimed to have destroyed 120 tanks, 400 artillery pieces and 200 APC's? Serbia had 14 MiG29 fighter jets. And you were hunting them for 78 days? Well you didn't do a very good job because you destroyed only 5 of them. And you had over 1000 planes to do it. But you did destroy many of the Yugoslav army barracks and civilian targets like bridges, factory halls and TV stations. Yeah it's easy to destroy something that doesn't move.
The target of the mission was forcing their military into submission and withdrawal and as we all know they suceeded with it with ease.Regarding what targets were picked there was no politics of eliminating as many as much military equipment as possible which was not directly involved in serbian repressions. This is another factor separating it from "war" actions.

I agree that NATO accomplished their mission but I don't think it was with ease. Serb army was not beaten. Serbs lost 14 tanks out of 800 and about 20 artillery pieces out of 2000. You tell me how many percent is that. Those are the official figures recognized by NATO. You are aware of the fact that the first F-117 destroyed in battle was shot down over Serbia 27th of march 1999. There was a sign in Belgrade during the bombing that said: "Sorry, we didn't know it was invisible:"

My friend, Serbia is not Iraq. There are forests in Serbia, there are places to hide and attack from ambush. I can see you are not well informed about this war. NATO in fact had ground troops that were trying to push through from Albania. OK, they were albanian mercenaries but they were well equiped and supported by NATO air force. Serbia signed an agreement when it became clear that NATO is no longer bombing military targets but civilians. Do you know how many tanks NATO destroyed?

We used tanks against what civilians? KLA was paramilitary terrorist organisation. Her members were civilians up to the point they took weapons into their hands. At that point they became enemy combatants. And we didn't met equally armed people. We confronted the strongest military might the world ever saw - NATO. 19 richest world countries attacked Serbia and yet they didn't brake it's military power. Serbia withdrew because NATO started bombing civilians in Aleksinac, Surdulica, Nis, etc...
I think you are talking too high. Today no nation can "bomb" civilians, coz there are so much tv reporters that this nation would be called "nacist" for every killed child - no matter the child had gun and killed 3 "enemy" soldiers.

But Serbs lost about 2000 civilian lives. Watch documentaries "Uloupene Kosovo", "It began with a lie" and "Kosovo Lies".

That battle was fought between Serbs and Turks on one side and on the other side Hungarian, French, German, Polish, English, Scots, Bulgarians, Wallachians, Dutch, Spanish, Swiss, Bohemian and Venetian troops, and also Teutonic and Knights of St. John. Battle was won by Serbian left flank charge into the right flank of crusaders. Thank you for reminding us.

@asdfasqwrt even Greece was before history records 2 times totally invaded and renewed as people. strange thing with Bulgarians: their old language disappeared-it was not Slavonic. Bulgar on Volga was their another state.they came from Caucasus mountains.so may be some tribes came to Illyria from Asia but there were already some else. you know these Gypsies came from India and they are everywhere.

@martpast1 we have the word naskroz too. We say it in phrase "skroz naskroz" which means utterly, totally. Like he totally defeated them. Something like that.
We wil be kinder to our muslims when they become normal towards us. in Serbia muslims are treated normaly, they are not discirminated yet their leaders spit on Serbs ( while they are Serbs by descent themselves ). You should say that they should start treating us normaly...

@rumonja85 Nemoj pričati gluposti prijatelju. Kakvo ukidanje jezika?! Pa nazivi ulica, zvanični dokumenti, sve je bilo dvojezično! Ukinute su autonomije Kosova i Vojvodine jer su te dve pokrajine blokirale sve zakone SR Srbije, a njihova matična država SR Srbija nije imala pravo da se meša u unutrašnje poslove pokrajina. U periodu od početka '70 do kraja '80 sa Kosova se zbog pritiska Albanaca iselilo oko 100.000 Srba. Srbija to nije mogla da spreči, a pokrajinska vlast nije želela.

Do you know that every single Serbian soldier or paramilitary is being tried in court and received no less than 7 years in prison according to his crime? No you didn't. Do you know that no Albanian paramilitary was accused of crimes? Prime minister of "Kosovo" was charged in Hague but all witnesses against him died within a month. And do you know how many Albanians were killed?

@lenda92 there will be a civil war in the u.s. soon. i am part serb but you cannot blame all americans. i was young then, but american people were bombing federal buildings, and as for 'spite' they did the same thing to it's citizens. when fbi/police pigs get killed they burn babies alive. they will all get theirs soon enough. but you cannot blame everyone. Serbia would have been able to have Clinton assassinated easier than any citizen.

I have to repeat myself once again, how can we talk about and compare relative numbers of equipment if the target of this mission was elimination of their anti air defenses and air force to have total air superiority, on second stage elimination of their infrastructure and not hunting serbian tanks or cannons :))
Serbian equiopment not involved in military actions in kosovo was not a direct target, so better infor us how many serbian military planes were left after this operation intact ? :)

Then why did NATO with pride claimed to have destroyed 120 tanks, 400 artillery pieces and 200 APC's? Serbia had 14 MiG29 fighter jets. And you were hunting them for 78 days? Well you didn't do a very good job because you destroyed only 5 of them. And you had over 1000 planes to do it. But you did destroy many of the Yugoslav army barracks and civilian targets like bridges, factory halls and TV stations. Yeah it's easy to destroy something that doesn't move.

The target of the mission was forcing their military into submission and withdrawal and as we all know they suceeded with it with ease.Regarding what targets were picked there was no politics of eliminating as many as much military equipment as possible which was not directly involved in serbian repressions. This is another factor separating it from "war" actions.
Well if you loose 5 tanks that ain't much mate :)) if it's ain't 5 from 6 you had :D.. I'd prefer to take percenteageble approach :)

You tell me how many percent is that. Those are the official figures recognized by NATO. You are aware of the fact that the first F-117 destroyed in battle was shot down over Serbia 27th of march 1999. There was a sign in Belgrade during the bombing that said: "Sorry, we didn't know it was invisible:"

My friend, Serbia is not Iraq. There are forests in Serbia, there are places to hide and attack from ambush. I can see you are not well informed about this war. NATO in fact had ground troops that were trying to push through from Albania. OK, they were albanian mercenaries but they were well equiped and supported by NATO air force. Serbia signed an agreement when it became clear that NATO is no longer bombing military targets but civilians. Do you know how many tanks NATO destroyed?

We used tanks against what civilians? KLA was paramilitary terrorist organisation. Her members were civilians up to the point they took weapons into their hands. At that point they became enemy combatants. And we didn't met equally armed people. We confronted the strongest military might the world ever saw - NATO. 19 richest world countries attacked Serbia and yet they didn't brake it's military power. Serbia withdrew because NATO started bombing civilians in Aleksinac, Surdulica, Nis, etc...

I think you are talking too high. Today no nation can "bomb" civilians, coz there are so much tv reporters that this nation would be called "nacist" for every killed child - no matter the child had gun and killed 3 "enemy" soldiers.
NATO defeated you in a few hours. No shame in that. You stand your ground as you think it was best. But for me? Your leaders were mass-killers and occupants to the whole yugoslavia. All the wars there in new age started coz your will to rule whole balkan.

I'm sure you love living in your perfect world but look beyond the walls of deception erected by NATO propaganda. The NATO agression against Serbs lasted for 78 days. And during that period NATO destroyed 14 tanks and about 20 artillery pieces. They lost 3 F-16 and 1 "invisible" F-117; couple of AH-64 helicopters and dozens of unmaned aerial vehicles. But Serbs lost about 2000 civilian lives. Watch documentaries "Uloupene Kosovo", "It began with a lie" and "Kosovo Lies".

My friend Carthoo you are mistaken. Serbia wants to cooperate with Russia as much as with EU. Serbia is not enemy of your country. It never was and never will be. Main problem of Serbia is that she doesn't want to pick a side. That's why we don't have support from Russia and NATO hates us. You took 15% of our teritory and gave it to the people who expelled all other ethnic comunities from Kosovo. And my friend: nobody really is your enemy but you are creating them with your agressive stance.

Well, but this is what make us weak. You see, the world will be united - together, or under some dictators flag. For next years there will be three super-powers. US, Russia and China. But even Russia will be consumed by islam, or China. The only way to have a place on earth for us, is united Europe. And Russia is doing anything to prevent that. We have to be smarter and under their "protection and unity" evolve in united Europe. We are the center of world, through all our history. We were the center of power. We have to become that again. You are told that Serbs commited genocide against Muslims and that there's been 300.000 killed muslims in Bosnia and 200.000 killed Albanian muslims in Kosovo. Today everybody knows that there was 90.000 people killed in Bosnia (about 50.000 of those were muslims). And vast majority of dead were combatants....

...In southern Serbian province of Kosovo 15.000 people have died during the war. about 10.000-12.000 Albanians (about 80% of those were KLA* members), and about 3000-5000 Serbs (750 members of army and police forces and the rest of them were civilians). NATO exaggerated number of the dead so they could justify bombing of Serbs in Bosnia 1994-95 and Serbia 1999. Everybody knows that but nobody speaks of it. Where are you from?

But see, Im interested in wars - I know that numbers we hear in TV shall be doubled if its something people do not like and have to be divided if people are interested coz them. Yes, we helped Turks. You are probably talking about Battle of Nicopolis. And you are right, I had to mention that battle. That battle was fought between Serbs and Turks on one side and on the other side Hungarian, French, German, Polish, English, Scots, Bulgarians, Wallachians, Dutch, Spanish, Swiss, Bohemian and Venetian troops, and also Teutonic and Knights of St. John. Battle was won by Serbian left flank charge into the right flank of crusaders. Thank you for reminding us.

I think It would be better if you told us about that. Because we all know that Kosovo is in Hungary and that Serbs came to Hungary to fight Janos Hunyadi in the second battle of Kosovo. Is that right? Or maybe I am mistaken? Maybe Hungarians came to plunder Serbia? OH I AM SO FUCKING CONFUSED! As you said it yourself Marko was a vassal of Turks and he was obliged to follow their orders. And you say we helped Turks for 450 years.
