Whether it's with these lyrics or with the original ones from the movie, The 3:10 to Yuma is one of the very best of Frankie Laine's songs. Does anyone know if any company has produced a karaoke cdg of it?
"Hell Bent for Leather" has all of Frankie's great western songs. I used to play the LP and dance around while singing to Rawhide and Gunfight at OK Corral and The 3:10 to Yuma.
Frankie had such a marvelous voice and it is preserved here and that is great...you can dance along and sing, too!
So beautiful, and how tender and melancholic it is!! I know several songs recorded by Frankie Laine but it's the first time ever I listened to this one! Thanks!
Just because this hit is not as known here in Brazil as well as 'Jezebel' and 'Blowin' Wild'. Thus, thanks to YouTube one has the big chance of knowing many more precious songs! Greetings.
Yuma is Yuma, Arizona. 3:10 to Yuma is the time the train leaves the station bound for Yuma. No indication where the station is nor am or pm. Probably 3:10 pm. (afternoon)
Did the producers use Frankie Laine's version of this song in their movie? If so, and if I had known, I may have gone to see the movie. Frankie Laine had such a powerful voice, but he knew how to control it, so it was capable of great empathy and expressiveness.
@iwanagaa1919 Yes.A couple years ago,I got a double set of both the original version and the one with Russel Crowe and Christian Bale. The first was much better.Casting Glenn Ford as the bad guy was genius!
A great song by a great singer, one of his MANY theme songs, can't fault any of them. Particularly like the full version of OK Corral played throughout the film. Frankie at his best.Cheers
Everyone thinks that soundtrack lyrics are much better, and I agree that they are quite something, but this album 'love' version is also magnificent! Thanks for posting it!
Thanks for posting! I love this song and movie (the original).

I bought most of Frankie's records in the 50s, but if I had to choose my favourite this one would be it.

Used to party late into the night with BB King, Sinatra, and Frankie Lane on the old stereo -- this was one of our favorites. Great movie and song!

Whoa! I just learned that the "3:10 to Yuma" of 2006 (or so) was a remake.
