The two guys below me are both wrong. This gun is a completely different one from the EM series of rifles. The gun depicted in Black Ops is the XL64 prototype. It used an experimental round called the 4.85mm which is supposed to have better penetration and ballistics than the more commonly known 5.56mm. This rifle never made it into service though

Its not actually the L85 in Black Ops, its the Enfield XL64, which was the forerunner to the SA80 family of weapons (among which the L85 is a member)

Either the ak series- ak 47, 74u, dragunov, and RPK.

Finally a great guide on my favourite weapon, one which I was dissappointed not to see in MW2, the L86 didn't quite do it for me. And also finally someone who can pronounce the terms needed such as SUSAT!!

This is an awesome gun to fire in real life (I did not shoot the airsoft version) and I think the gun has been accurately modeeled in this game BUT the reload animation is fucked up no-end. In the real world all of the reloading is done with the left hand by tilting the gun over. BTW subbed!

Do the AK74u, please? This will explain why the gun being emulated by Black Ops isn't actually overpowered, imho. People may still cry about the gun afterwards, but the gun's history is significant to how it operates. From performance to useage to even it's attachments.
