  • It's Powderfinger Jr.! Or is that Powerfingerbang? I really can't stand Aussie music when this came out. They all sounded the same. Same guitar sound, same production, same lame lyrics. It was just guitars, guitars, guitars. A real low point for local bands. And the young 'uns just ate it up, for the disposable, McDonalds rawk that it was. Assembly line bollocks. Phooey!

  • dudes are trendy

  • Legendary song... such a shame they blew up :-(

  • I often wonder how this band would have gone if they had stayed together, this song is so good, I love the lyrics xx

  • Noticed a few people asking, so just thought I'd post this bit of info from Wiki.

    They had 3 EP's, and 2 albums, from '93, through to '98.

They released this single in '97, which was then added to their 2nd & final album in '98, Eleventh Avenue.

Their very last show as a band was in January '99, on the main stage at the Big Day Out in Perth, Weston Australia.

After splitting up some of the members went on to work with other bands.

-Check Ammonia(Band) in Wiki for more detailed info. :)

  • is it me or am i the only one who knows this song thanks to heartbreak high ? :P

  • WHY these guys quit !!! STRange !! quIT AT THE WRONG TIME !!

  • @nika8538

Unfortunately, due to the pressures of being in a band, the heavy touring schedules for their 2nd album, tensions within the group became too much for them, and near the end of '98, their decision to break up was announced, but not before performing their last 3 gigs.

The Homebake Festival in Sydney, The Falls Festival in Victoria, & ending at The Big Day Out in Perth.

  • Stumbled across this song while watching a recording of the 1998 Formula 1 Grand Pix du Canada. Used as segue music before a commercial it had an infectious chorus and it took me all but a minute to search it, find it as a YouTube video and I was jamming along...I love modern technology!!!

  • I FINALLY found this song!

    Been looking for years!

It was used as background music in a road safety tv add back in the 90's(in Australia) focussing on wearing seatbelts, where a P plater picks up his younger brother from school, and they have an accident.

It was also on an CD sampler released by Coca Cola in '97.

I used to have this CD, but lost it many years ago, and could never remember the title of the song, or the artists.

Thank you so much for posting this vid!!! Great quality!!! +++
