Believe everything you hear and read about this bike. It's amazing. I tried one and while it wasn't as quick as my CBR, everything else was better. Unbelievable. Every manufacturer should take one of these apart to see how a bike should handle.
@theroddy which cbr do you have, are you referring to top end speed or acceleration cause i thought this was suppose to be the fast accelerating bike in the 600 class
i'm getting tired of my honda so i started to save for the daytona (i'm a cash person), but every time i see this bike, i think screw it... i'm gonna finance one!
somebody in europe i mean ANYBODY like a European AMA Situation or something has to be able to convince the GOV. To get rid of those hideous HUGE License plates, i mean honestly? does it have to be that big? WHY?? I Swear if i lived there and it cost $200 extra to have a small plate i'd pay it. LMAO!!! God it destroys the bikes look!
You are absolutely right it destroys the look of the bike but there's nothing we can do about it. But in fact I would rather have no speed limits and better road conditions over here than a small license plate. Honestly you don't really go on race tracks with that Super Sport Bike every day or go there at all so driving with the legal maximum speed of 65 on a highway would suck even more than a bigger license plate. So we can't have it all :(
Come on. You live in the States, you got a lot of space. You got this big streets which go straight on for 100s of kilometers and you wanna make me believe that you can't drive fast on these streets? I was in Canada last summer and they also got a very low speed maximum ( they almost got asleep. I'm from Germany and I'm used to higher speed limits ^^ ) but the streets are so lonely over there so it shouldn't be a problem to drive fast.

Yea man I personally think the 09 Daytona looks cooler than any of the current Japanese bikes. The only bike I think can compete with it visually is the 848 Ducati!
The 09 Daytona looks much sharper and there are other improvements to the entire bike. Yeah I love the Ducati 848 too. I used to ride a Ducati Monster.

If you live in a big city like LA, higher speed limits are useless anyway because these places are too crowded.
