Here is a question for serious Demon/Dark Soul players.
How does the multiplayer in Dark Souls compare to that in Demons. I have double platinum UK/US in Demons 500+ hours played, and loved the multiplayer (Invading, being Invaded ;) PvP in general)
The problem is i bought Dark on the day of release and thought it was shite, No nexus/central area being a major gripe amoung others. Thing is i heard ages ago that the multiplayer is piss poor in Dark compared to Demons, was that accurate info.
I tried demons souls and I think the critic over rated this game. The lady with candle wax on her eyes is a souls grubbing bitch! The only real way to get around this game is to be lucky enough to get good drops form enemies. Also enemies all around the game world get stronger when you upgrade your stats. Graphics and gameplay were great though. After 3 days of playing this game, I'd give this game 2 out of 5

I don't think that dieing a lot took away from the score, that is something that will discourage a lot of gamers who are use to having their hands held through out all modern games, that is why it is a negative to the game, it did not get a ten because it was not a perfect game, as few games are. If you show the game the respect it deserves you will do fine. My first full playthrough I finished with around 20 stones of ephemeral eyes because I only died 2 or 3 times through the entire game, that's not me claiming to be a master, I just play carefully.
Quick tip for those who don't like having to re-start levels after dying...
As soon as you die hold down your PS button on the controller and quit the game as fast as you can, reload the game and you'll be at your last auto-save... Alive.
@demonnogo I'm not sure what's satisfying about playing through the same level over and over again. If I make a stupid mistake I will hold my hands up and start the level again.
Other times though like falling down that pit before reaching Flamelurker and trying to land on the little ledges, it was partly down to luck, and if I fail because of bad luck I don't really consider it to be my fault. So for that I will 'cheat'.
If Flamelurker had killed me I would've done the same, to avoid the pit.
It's a very good game but I don't think it's as difficult as a lot of people make it out to be.
I see a lot of bloodstains showing people charging in headfirst, wielding a massive axe with both hands, and they drop like flies. You have to play DS slowly and carefully, play defensively ALL the time, retreat to heal and try to dodge attacks instead of blocking, you'll save stamina. Attack from range when possible, wear light armour so you can roll away faster and upgrade your vitality!
Guys i'm looking for a little help. I just got a bow to try and get the drake sword, but when I try to equip it, it says "Unable to wield this weapon efficently with present stats" how do I know when my stats get high enough? Is there some kind of menu I can't find that says required stats? (I'm a sorcerer btw, just in case it's relevant)
@LolWutThxBai If you equip the weapon and then look for that weapon in your menu you will see the stat requirements that you need to wield it. If you don't meet the requirements I think the stats that you are short on will appear red. Don't try using anything that you don't have the requirements for because it's performance will be terrible.
Instead of 'Strength, Dexterity etc...' Demon's Souls uses symbols so you'll have to check your booklet to find out which ones are which.
I love this game..not as hard as the critics say.I found it harder just figuring out where to go than actually fighting...died probably 6 times 1st playthrough...king allant and fucking maneater only bosses that really tested me
demons souls is an awesome game because, the character itself is not overpowered, ye you can level up strength, magic, and other but for example you can die with one blow if you are against a boss, that makes the game hard. when i played it you really felt like a real knite like in the past, avoiding the magic and stuff.

@EliteTarget definitely its just as hard and rewarding as dark souls and a lot of people think it's better than dark souls me included. Dark souls is still a fantastic game though.
This game may be a Hard Son of a Bitch but if your a patient gamer you have a higher chance of completing the game. Cause I found my self replaying levels that I have finished a lot to level up. It may seem repetitive, but in the long run it's rewarding.

why does this game look alot harder than dark souls? don't get me wrong dark souls is a challenging game but the the bonfire system makes it way to easy to farm souls, which takes out alot of the challenge :(
@bonehead156 they aren't exactly difficult in the same areas - getting to the bells is easy, hunting down the lord souls in my opinion is what would be considered harder than the scenarios that demon's souls offered.
also dark souls can be a much tougher game if you only use the firelink bonfire : )

I remember leaving this game (which is one of my favourite games of all time) for around 8 months just because i couldn't get into many PvP and co-op games. I later searched online for advice on what soul level i had to be at to get into a lot of games but it was too late. SO ashamed. @Screaminbeamin DO NOT MOVE at the entrance. He will take your arrows like a champ until he dies. As soon as you change weapon, move forward, any flick of the analog sticks or of any button other than aiming and shooting, he will rape you. Just stay at the entrance. Even if you don't see him, shoot at an angle, and you will see his health deplete if you hit him. After 1000 arrows or so, he'll die. Make sure you maximize damage for each arrow by equiping the correct gear. Cheers!

All these bosses you saw in the video are easy to kill. Flamelurker and maneaters are the hardest bosses you will ever face. Tip for flamelurker, use water veil and purple flame shield. For maneaters, just kill the first one really quick......

@etwisabeta You start at the easiest difficulty. After you beat the game (5-10h if you manage not to die too much), you start again, with enemies having much more hp, much more dmg.

Also, I love those extremely difficult games that most people will never have the patience to beat, it shows your true skill under pressure and you always feel better after beating them than you would an average game

@bonehead156 they aren't exactly difficult in the same areas - getting to the bells is easy, hunting down the lord souls in my opinion is what would be considered harder than the scenarios that demon's souls offered.
also dark souls can be a much tougher game if you only use the firelink bonfire : )

I remember leaving this game (which is one of my favourite games of all time) for around 8 months just because i couldn't get into many PvP and co-op games. I later searched online for advice on what soul level i had to be at to get into a lot of games but it was too late. SO ashamed. @Screaminbeamin DO NOT MOVE at the entrance. He will take your arrows like a champ until he dies. As soon as you change weapon, move forward, any flick of the analog sticks or of any button other than aiming and shooting, he will rape you. Just stay at the entrance. Even if you don't see him, shoot at an angle, and you will see his health deplete if you hit him. After 1000 arrows or so, he'll die. Make sure you maximize damage for each arrow by equiping the correct gear. Cheers!

All these bosses you saw in the video are easy to kill. Flamelurker and maneaters are the hardest bosses you will ever face. Tip for flamelurker, use water veil and purple flame shield. For maneaters, just kill the first one really quick......
