i loved my childhood mainly thanks to cartoons like this films like lion king and games like sonic. i would not wanna be a kid nowadays. i sorely miss the 90s. what an era. cartoons nowadays load of crap. no idea what spongebobs all about.

Oh and in my opinion the Germen version is terrible. It sounds like some over rated kids music that you hear today. This one is the true original. The one that makes you feel warm and it gives you that lovely nostalgic feeling.

Hm.. I got used to the German ending then and I can say that it is more dramatic and leads to a sad feeling which fits to this series often ^^.

Nevertheless I also prefer this tune =)

And after all it is German as well - played by the WDR Orchester =)

(WDR - Westdeutscher Rundfunk - one of the sub-braodcasts of the ARD, Germany's first public broadcast - which belongs to the state of North Rhine Westphalia)

They also were the ones who mainly produced this series - together with the BBC

taah the animals of farthing wood it was a great show! very sad too - most of the main characters died during the first 2 series! you wouldn't get that in a kids show today! great theme tune as well

You're so right. Lots of the main characters died. It was so sad but if no animals died it wouldn't make it such an exciting show. Plus, these days non of the characters from films and shows die. It is very sad though. Can't belive Badger died. At least he lives in the books.

somewhere was written that the intro and this outro music (nearly the same) was made/composed by the WDR orchestra (westdeutscher rundfunk - westgerman broadcast)

Don't be silly... all that means is that the song was composed and performed by Germans. If you look carefully you'll see that the credits are not German at all, looks like French or some other Romanic language.

you know that the song (of beginning and ending) is recorded by the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk/ West-German broadcast) from the WDR Orchestra Cologne? in the german version, only the ending theme is another one.
