A Christian point of view when discussing or "arguing" what they believe is that people who dont believe are going to Hell. I wish when Christianity is talked about, it wouldn't turn into an argument because Christians just want (and are supposed to) spread word of Jesus and their beliefs. If it is that far fetched, just laugh about it and move on or tell what you believe and just go about your day. Just remember that it is kind of a big deal for Christians and it's just facts for other people.
It wouldn't be hard to be a christian, to love and follow God if life wasn't hard. Living on Earth is used for making a decision, do I believe in God, or not. It'd be pretty easy to believe God, keep your faith all your life and not question it if nobody had any problems. If I get a sarcastic, offensive reply to an explanation of something that I personally believe..I have not respect for that person. I wish people would look at a Christian pov when replying to a comment made about our religion.

I am pretty sure that a being with unlimited intelligence and infinite power would know what He, or She if you wanted to, just made and what it was made out of. "for this they willfully forgot: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water" isn't talking about God forgetting, it is about false teachers. and people like you.

@damobeck1 again, you're quoting a bible verse as if its a fact with no proof to back it up, and we actually know it not to be true. obviously the earth was not made of water or out of water, it was made of molten lava that cooled over millions of years. my question was rhetorical; if there was a being with infinite intelligence then of course he would know how the earth was made. but since the bible was written by primitive man, they could only guess, as we see with the water verse

@damobeck1 yes, I am using science to back up my case, you know that thing that has proof and is actually true. using religion to prove a point is meaningless since there is no proof supporting religion, and plenty denying it. if you want another obvious flaw in religion (there are plenty to choose from) look at religion based on location. if you were born in america, you're a christian. the middle east, a muslim. inda, a hindu, and so on. why is your religion right and theirs wrong?

@cgb20202 as you probably know, scientists do not have a definitive answer to this question......yet. of course, we will eventually find the answer, as we did with most of the other things that religion tried to explain using the supernatural. that is the beauty of science, it makes you think, whereas religous people try to take the easy way out and their answer for everything is "god did it". there are many hypothesis on what caused the big bang, i suggest you check them out
