Whoa. What's with the hostility? It's an undergravel filter, not an airstone. See the tube on the left? I didn't have a protein skimmer for this 20g and the shop owner informed us to use a ugf. But don't worry, this tank now has a protein skimmer and we are not running the ugf anymore.
It looks like an air stone is running in this tank, but it's actually a hang-on-the-back power filter running it's water thru the undergravel filters bubble flow. See it? It's just bubbles from the top of the water getting pushed down then back up.
