Freida, that green one is the best! It's very spaceship-like! When I was in college I made tons of ceramic "hearts" and random "organs", or components, some of which I've been meaning to finish : )
I'm just browsing the internet,I stated with Yo Yo Ma,then jumped over to Brazilian drummer Cyro Baptista and right know I'm being entertained by you Freida, thank you
That's great! Music is such fun. Maybe you'll make an Ocarina some day. There is a lot of info on the web about them and how to make them. Also, some great groups. Thanks for stopping by.
You are very creative, I like very much your pieces, it's so happy and have beautiful forms! I'm a Brazilian esculptor and I have made some didgeridoos with clay. Thank you for showing it for us!
Have you seem the Barry Hall's book From Mud to Music? Have been thinking of adding it to my library. On my list of things to do with clay? Along with make a whistle handle for some mugs. An old British pub tradition 'tis where the phrase to wet your whistle came from apparently.
Barry Hal is my idle! I belong to his Yahoo Group ceramicmusicalinstruments I can hardly wait to see you work! Please keep me up to date! I haven't made anything for a while now. But you just inspired me! Where's my clay! Thanks! Freida
Thank you! I am planning on buying that book. Are you in his online group? He is very interesting and full of knowledge. Here is the name of the Yahoo group: ceramicmusicalinstruments
You're videos are so awesome!!! I love the ceramic musical instruments--would be so cool to see how they are made. I've always thought why buy when you can make, but your ceramic pieces are just beautiful.
This video is indeed a treat! What a unique and wonderful use of ceramics. This is the type of thing I like to see on YouTube, thanks so much for posting.
I've been a suscriber for a few weeks now and I have remained silent... Until now. It's great to have ou on you tube, two creative, interesting and very positive characters.
Miles ahead and miels above all Youtube Directors as unquestionably the best and most photogenic Director- Duo on Youtube. Thank you for sharing your art, your music and yourselves...public speaking is one of the greatest human fears...greater than the fear of dying...you have both overcome it and share yourselves freely with the world with a unique elegance and grace.
Wow, what a nice comment. Thank you so much! Guess now with all this encouragement I'll have to show you all my NAF, flute collection and maybe get brave enough to play something! Thanks again!
That's so cool! I have a clay flute (I didn't make it) in our "Jungle Room", haven't messed with it in a while. :) That large green odd one looks like an H.R. Geiger piece. Was that on purpous?
Thanks! Well, not really on purpose but it would sure fit in with his work! Maybe my hands were guided by a strange Alien from another planet! Oh and yes it was on purpose! Gene made me do it! lol Everything around here is strange! lol Really I was just experimenting with tubes, sound chambers and the extruder at school. That was my 2 out of 2 class. I gave away my best looking ones! Problem is I have way too many hobbies!
Wow, you are so inventive, Freida! I bet you and Gene are from my planet. hehe --I think we used a couple of those instruments to call down the Mother ship last week. :) Love, Alien Hybrid pi
That was just amazing!!! Oh, about the spider, I think I pulled something just *hearing* about it! LOL I don't think we have black widows where I live, but we do have the brown recluse. Yikes! I'm glad you weren't bitten.
I have enjoyed your videos so much! You folks seem like you are always having such a good time... you're so creative and so loving and it comes through in every video. You both are so great! I look forward to your next video!
