@jeremus1979 I think the pop depends on where you touch the xy pad, some effects you need to start in the lower left, others like filter in the middle of the pad. i think its just the effect popping on. I dont know if it can be fixed, but thats how i avoid that pop.

Its not like real DJing though making a video for Youtube, its a case of mashing stuff up quickly, similar to how you'd make a production and I wouldn't stand up for that lol

You dont have to worry about song selection, just strait bangers from start to finish.. And mix about 5 songs in 10 minutes.. Its hard shit but its fun!

1. Can you use headphones in this and preview just 1 track in your ear headphones. So the crowd can't hear it before it goes live. How do you switch between the 2 while u mix?
2. Do the pitch sliders lock the speed so u can only speed up and slow down the track, or do they allow you to change just the pitch of the song instead? Or can you do both?

Hey fellow xponent user! Great mixing, but i've got a few tips ;) The first song doesn't match with the second when you listen to the tones. Some parts a bit out of tone, if you know what i mean. Maybe it will sound good if you change the pitch a bit. Another thing is that i think using the buttons is the best way to trigger the stutter effect, not the pad. It's more precise :) I will try to make a video of my xponent mixing skills soon. Maybe we can teach eachother some tricks ;)

i used my xponent wid a ANCIENT pc for a couple of weeks and to my surprise found very few performance issues! the spec of the mentioned pc was 2.8ghz amd (single core), wid a gig of shitty ram and a onboard sound card on a k7n2 delta motherboard. hope tha helps

You can get acapellas from all the leading mp3 websites and its just a case of getting them at around the same BPM as what you play at. I do a fair bit of producing so I sometimes take acapellas and make them the BPM I want.
I learnt DJing myself on an old pair of belt drive turntables. All you need to do is just buy yourself a pair of decks and keep practicing until you get it. Check out the tutorial videos on youtube. DJTutor does a great series here on youtube.

I certainly didn't hear any key clashes that made me say "eech!" Sure, it may not have been perfect harmonic mixing, but only another mix DJ would know, and then really only if he was listening for it. Nice mix Richie! :)
It was pretty noticeable. The floor may not yell "Hey, the keys are off!" , but I think anyone with any sense of pitch would realize something was off. That being said, mad props Richie for your mix creativity. Very nice. Well done.

Hi m8, i was wanderi if this thing can adjust the loop point, to fine tune, most of the time this is not a problem but i have a few mixes i like 2 do on cdj and the songs are a bit of for instant looping- wiked vid by the way
You can halve it by pressing the same button again and keep doing that to half it again and again. In the next version of the software coming out soon they've said that they're gonna make the buttons act like the CDJs.
just wondering, have you tried the traktor LE software? this is basically the main factor in what i want to buy, the xponent or the bcd3000. i've heard some people say traktor is better, otheres have said torq is better

You can get acapellas from all the leading mp3 websites and its just a case of getting them at around the same BPM as what you play at. I do a fair bit of producing so I sometimes take acapellas and make them the BPM I want.
I learnt DJing myself on an old pair of belt drive turntables. All you need to do is just buy yourself a pair of decks and keep practicing until you get it. Check out the tutorial videos on youtube. DJTutor does a great series here on youtube.

Top Job, well impressed. I have Numark cue + iCDX's + DXM09 - I'm thinking of shifting across to the Torq xponent though. Have you used cue before, if so, how does it compare? Cheers

I certainly didn't hear any key clashes that made me say "eech!" Sure, it may not have been perfect harmonic mixing, but only another mix DJ would know, and then really only if he was listening for it. Nice mix Richie! :)

It was pretty noticeable. The floor may not yell "Hey, the keys are off!" , but I think anyone with any sense of pitch would realize something was off. That being said, mad props Richie for your mix creativity. Very nice. Well done.

Yes, just put some pressure onto the middle of the platter and it'll stop and act like vinyl. The outsides work as a jog, just like the CDJs

Hi m8, i was wanderi if this thing can adjust the loop point, to fine tune, most of the time this is not a problem but i have a few mixes i like 2 do on cdj and the songs are a bit of for instant looping- wiked vid by the way

You can halve it by pressing the same button again and keep doing that to half it again and again. In the next version of the software coming out soon they've said that they're gonna make the buttons act like the CDJs.

just wondering, have you tried the traktor LE software? this is basically the main factor in what i want to buy, the xponent or the bcd3000. i've heard some people say traktor is better, otheres have said torq is better

Traktor is alright but I prefer Torq as it seems to be more creatively biased.

thank you for this amazing showcase of the xponents' potential. it truly made the decision process of which equipment i want to invest in much easier. the xponent already came highly recommended to me (i knew it was the unit i was interested in,) but now i'm thoroughly excited to experiment. you've opened new doors for me :)
i also particularly like your track selection. as chico mentioned, the track you drop at 4 min had me grooving for the rest of the video!

Know the feeling, I was just about to buy the BCD3000 when I just happened to see an ad for the Xponent. Once you see the videos of it in action, you just want it. The BCD3000 isn't a bad bit of kit, but the Xponent combined with Torq is just in a different league!
